I was really excited about this game. Until I found that Microsoft have restricted downloads of this game to North America only. This is complete and utter bullcrap. There is more to the world than just 50 states and Canada! The whole point of the internet is to share information and indeed, free games created by summer interns. The original Galciv had Antimatter Missiles. Couple that with the auto-attack function and you had yourself a mine. Interplanetary Missiles would have been a neat feature in GC2..

Before I invaded the Caranoid planet I had placed several spies on their planet, this was to ruin any attempt to build starships. After the invasion it seems that my spies were still trying to sabotage the planet, and so I was receiving the penalties..from my own spies! Thankfully removing them VIA the espionage menu proved quite easy. SUMMARY: When a planet is invaded and the invader still has spies on the planet, said spies will still be in effect. RECCOMEND

Uh..Beta version? It's been released AND it's at version 1.08 Personally I'm enjoying the game, the new ship design interface is a little bit confusing and I'm not sure I approve of the massive leveling up system of the tech tree (Putting a few million points into projectile weapons will yield a D.U cannon that can blow up a planet!) but otherwise it's a nice game.

Starship weaponary pretty much are turrets allready (Insofar as they have a huge fireing arc) Animated swiveling would be a neat addition to work in though.

Templates? That's something I'll look foward to. It's a minor feature but I'm glad I no longer have to have unaltered (save for extras) hull designs kicking around. Mega events + Intellegent placer? Yes!, But say the Drengin find a piece of the Telnath crystal (Galciv I veterans will remember this), Will the scale of diplomacy tipped so that I can help incite a war against the Drengin befor it's too late? Con - On larger maps combat can occur up to 10 times per round so it would just be a real pain in the behind.

I reckon the AI works on proximity at lower levels and PQ at mid to high. Guess its kind of like a guy not renting the mansion and instead the apartment because it has a subway down the road.

Hello there, I have been playing a game called Weird Worlds in Infinate Space.
