I happen to come across part of the gameplay by accident that could end up being a multiplayer cheat.
I had just landed a colony ship onto a planet and had one of the planetary options pop up, can't remeber what it was, but that's not the problem. I played a couple more turns and had to quit but thought I had saved it.
When I restarted a couple hours later I was a couple turns before I had landed my colony ship. So when it came time to land it, just by chance a different planetary option popped up. So I got to thinking, what if I try again..see what happens.
So I reloaded..moved the ship adjacent to the planet and saved it. I then landed the ship and didn't receive any option. So I reloaded and tried again..low and behold a different option came up.
So what is to keep someone from saving the game just prior to landing a ship, and continually landing it until a very favorable option comes up..like say 49% research or 45% production or something else extremely helpful.
In single player I could care less what someone wants to do..but in multiplayer..oh boy..fists will be flying
