Im playing ultimate edition -TA on a win 7 computer. I can't get the game to use the options I choose for planets. I use the included map editor to create a map. For simplicity I will use the following example however it doesn't matter what size planets, galaxy or options I use.
I create a two player map with terran and another race.
I label one star Sol.
I create 4 planets name them Earth, Mars, Io, and Europa
I set all 4 to habitable and increase quality and size to 20.
I select Earth as the home world of the Terran's.
I create the other star system with a few random things making sure one planet is habitable at least and have it claimed for the other race.
I start the galciv2 TA. I select custom map and load it. Under the race menu I select Terran and whatever other race I chose.
When the game loads the stars are where I created them as well as each race being placed where I chose them to be. However the planets are incorrect. No matter what I end up with a earth habitable (but not size or quality I chose) mars (sometimes habitable) Jupiter and Mercury (uninhabitable). It is the same if I download custom maps and try to use those as well. Names, size, quality, total amount of planets are never what I made in the map editor.
What I have tried to before posting:
Running gavciv2 TA as administrator as well as compatibility mode (several different combinations)
Running map editor the same as above
Choosing several diffrent combos of planet size, quality, naming, location of planets, number of stars, planets
Reinstalled game, choose diffrent save directories
Does anybody have any idea what could be wrong? Thanks alot guys.
