In the last couple of days, I tried out the planetary governors. I like this new feature a lot, it does make it much less tedious to build up an empire of many planets. Some things about it could still be improved, however:
- Easier access: I liked the suggestion of being able to select governors in the building list... it would be a lot less complicated than accessing them in the detail screen. If governors could be assigned to a planet list directly in the governor screen, that would be fantastic
- Option to build over: The preferred planet setup doesn't necessarily stay the same all game. Thus it would be cool if you could tell the governor somehow to force the queued setup by building over already existing (removable) structures. This would require only an additional checkbox when designing the governor
Those points don't mean that I don't think those governors are already a very nice feature... as someone who likes to build up large empires, I missed the option for some automation in this regard for a long time, and I'm glad my prayers got anwered with 2.0
How do you other players feel about the governor? Does anyone have additional suggestions in this regard?
