Is this a bug or a feature

eyes of the universe bites me in the ass

Am playing a game in Immense and have 25% of the galaxy and the Korath (owns 25%) and the Yor (20%) and the Torians (10%) are still around.  Beat the Korath into submission and took two planets away from the Yor and they decided they dont want non of that so were at peace now.  Built eyes of the universe, have all miniturazations and sensor array.  I decide to build a spy sat (no enginees, 1 gun, 2 hardend hull points and 51 parsecs worth of sensor range with sensor arrays the rest armor).  I buy it put it in the sky and I only have the range that eyes of the universe gives me 10!  What happened to my long range sensors!

Then I thought is this a bug or a feature?

this is a "feature" kind of ... :\

there's a limit to maximum visibility of a single object and that limit is already reached with the eyes of the universe galactic achievement...

although I thought it's a bother, it gave me the incentive to build a horde of survey ships which in the end is more useful since they survey what's respawning and they watch what's happening... plus it gives me ships to convert in case there's something urgent to do somewhere ... (like a destroyed ressource starbase ...) ^_^

Yeah, global sensor cap is 15pc.

(There's also a global range cap, 7.5-8 sct IIRC, but that's not really relevant for this discussion.)
