After playing for a time, the game started to get a little choppy.... I used to be able to alt/tab and back and it would be OK, but now the CTD negates that option.
I decided to continue on... The came something really weird... It was like an homage to disaster films of the 70's... At the beginning of the turn, the blue ship built icon popped on the right, the GNN came up clear and OK, but the entire map/screen in the background started doing Earthquake... in sens-around!!! It totally locked up, just shaking all over, except the GNN screen. I also noticed the icon never fell for the ship.
There was no error message, no report of any kind. I eventually alt/tabbed out and back, and a little tiny window popped up that said "invalid call". It wasn't even a whole window, just a piece of one.
Before the incicent, The program was behaving like it had mental clarity issues... It seemed to me that the turn sequence was different somehow. It seemed that things were happenning all out of order. An example, I had 3 fleets on top of each other, It ignored the one I picked on the map, going to the bottom one I don't want in the lower display, so I constantly had to UNcheck that one and REcheck the one I wanted to move.
On a side note: If I have alot of planets in the build bar that pops up on the left, it won't stay where i want it to so I can look at the planets in order... It keeps popping back to an arbitrary point forcing me to go through the whole list again to find where I was... Very annoying indeed. Why can't it just stay where the h*** I left it.
There was no smart exception or crash report other than the little call window.... sorry. I do have a auto save, but it's a few turns before hand...
