Hey dragoon what changes did you make in the mod so we can compear mods.
Everything I did was placed on top of Gauntlets Race mods, then took all of the star trek ships that I liked, did the lights and normal maps on them, then arranged them built a new set of ship styles and race configs.
I did the same for all the star Wars ships, ie. Ships styles, bump maps, lighting, races etc.
And I built a colonial BSG race, though for the medium slot, I retextured the Star Wars Dreadnought ship to look like a BSG ship. I based that on work done by a great texturer over on the Dynaverse SFC forums ( can't recall name )
I then used Movie files from Star Wars Empires at war, Bridgecommander and a trailer from the BSG Beyond the Red Line mod/freeware game, converted to BIK where needed.
Now that TA is out, i'm gearing up to building techtrees, improvements etc for each race.
I should say though, that nothing I've done would be released. I did it for the purpose of learning how to do things, and for making something that I'd like to see. So far, i've not suffered crashes...... but I got side tracked by Assassins Creed, and now TA, so there may be a crash lurking somewhere. LOL
Been a while Foxthree, but did you fix the problems with the Stargate ship pack you did? I managed to get them back onto the right axis for the game, but because i'm not a3D modeller, they caused my game to crash. You had some real beautiful ships in that pack too.
Back on topic.... i'm a registerd member for the Trek mod over on their forums, it's been quiet for a while, but now that TA is out, i'm looking forward to seeing some new stuff. I also like their Sci-fi mix mod, which I have to admit, is the one I want to see the most work done on.... who doesn't want to see a Base Star facing up against a connie or Hatak!!? I've used all of the various versions of the Trek Mod, and i've always really enjoyed the work that was done, and look forward to a TA release.
