BETA3A - Miners Bug

Space Miner fails to start mining / upgrading an asteroid.

This has been listed before (by me even) but it is happening again/still under 3A - Seems to be only when a miner uses it last point of movement onto an asteroid it does not start mining / upgrading the asteroid.

This is not consistant and I had it happen only about four times in a two hour session. Saving and reloading does not duplicate it - but I did start watching for it and in all cases it was for a miner that used it last point of movement to enter the field.

Was the miner on auto-improve mode?  I will have to watch for this.

I've had this happen a fair amount (once even with combat ships sent to destroy an enemy mine), and I never have my miners on auto-improve.

I'm having this happen too. It seems that if you have the miner autopilot right into the asteroid field it won't start building, but if you autopilot to one square away and then move it manually onto the field, it will.

I've had this on manual navigation but not on "automate". I also don't think this is limited to the TA beta's

Was the miner on auto-improve mode?


Mine was.. automatic mode stopped everytime it finshed building a mine.
When I unchecked "cancel ship desination on left click" the problem stopped and the miner stayed in automatic mode. Checking that option made it losing automatic mode once again.

This happens to me all the time in DA 1.61. I just got used to checking on my miners when they moved. At worst you'll lose one turn of mining since, if it doesnt start mining automatically, the next turn the ship ill be highlighted looking for orders.

My miners, even if not on auto-improve, will not automatically start building the turn they arrive at an asteroid belt from auto-move.

I have had it on both auto and manual mode. It always seems to be when the miner is near the end of it's movement allowance.

I played with this a bit last night and it seems to be only with low moves left 0 to 1 when actyally on the field. I built 4 miners with various levels of engines and then played around. The result isn't consistant but it is repeatable.
