I've been trying to create, as the title says, upgradeable colonies, to make that otherwise static building found on every planet a little more interesting; the basic idea is that upgrading the colony boosts its output, but also increases its maintenance costs quite a bit.
My attempts to do this (and the glitchyness it causes) lead me to have two questions:
One, is it possible something like this will show up in TA?
And two, is it possible we can have a tag for planetary improvements along the lines of "PlacementGroup" that accepts a string definition, and all Improvements on a planet with the same PlacementGroup count towards each other's PlacementLimit? This would allow the implementation of upgradeable colonies without running into glitches with being able to place more than one colony; it would also allow for nifty things like upgradeable SuperProjects, or a set of three different buildings such that only one of the three can be built per planet, forcing you to choose between them.
