So I was playing with a custom race, using a default Super Ability. Then I began to wish that there were some 'generic' super abilities, extra to make custom races even more 'custom'. Of course, they can be modded in, but it would be simpler to have some 'generics' around.
These are the ones I wished was in the game, as an example.
Super Telepath: Loyalty is increased on every planet, and telepathic abilities improves the efficency of morale and influence buildings. (No numbers set, just ideas)
Super Nomad: Ships (and fleets) gain speed when outside your territory. All cargo ships have a base attack value and a base defense value of one in every category.
Super Horde: Opposing planets are much more likely to revolt to you and you gain a morale bonus while you are at war. Also, opponents are more likely to surrender to you (not surrender in general)
The ideas behind them are this:
Super Telepath: Loyalty because people share their opinions freely and make decisions unaminiously. Morale and influence- because they can see your mind and see what would appeal to you and then do it.
Super Nomad: Ships travel faster outside your territory because they need to escape enemies or get to port fast. Cargo ships carry your people and must be able to defend themselves as they seek out new planets.
Super Horde: A powerful warrior horde inspires fear in its enemies, causing them to flock to the horde's side. Morale is improved because of the 'horde' philosophy, and enemies would rather be on the winning side.
