So, not sure if there's a formal type of way to report bugs, but here goes:
Auto attack is fairly wonky at times, which is very annoying for a player like me, who doesn't like microing too much. First of all, often when they destroy a mini-freighter but that doesn't kill the trade route, they'll all home in on the planet and freeze, until the mini-freighter respawns again (which will usually take 1 or 2 turns), decreasing their effectiveness significantly. The second, bigger problem with auto-attack has to do with it's behaviour when the target is protected somehow, from the Galactic Privateer wonder, or the Trade Federation or Anti-Agression UP laws: If an automatically selected target is thus protected, the auto-attack AI won't choose another target, but go for it again and again, forcing me to click away the window explaining why the attack is an illegal move about a hundred times for each ship. This sucks and needs to be fixed somehow.
The second issue regarding planet names is that with a custom race, if I choose a pre-existing name for my homeworld (such as Altaria), I will not only get that name for my home planet, but the rest of the home system will become the same as the pre-existing system, with the exception of planet names.
Example: I enter "Altaria" as my homeworld for my custom race. My homeworld will be called Altaria, look exactly like Altaria does if I had played the Altarians, including the planet quality. The homestar will be called Altaria as well, and the other planets will be called Altaria II, III and so on, BUT they will have the same looks and planet qualities as the Altarian system as well. This does effect Metaverse games as well. Also, the bug can be replicated with the Korath and Krynn, due to a missing string in the CustomPlanets.XML file. This is likely imbalancing, as the Korath, Krynn and Custom races can get a PQ 14/3, 12/3 or 15/0 home system if they so wish, at the cost of some of the immersion factor.
