Do core templates and core ships have a technology required tag? I need to prevent templates and ships from showing up before time. This only seems to be a problem with core ships and templates. Custom ships and templates adhere to my modded tech requirements normally.
My problem requires a little back story.
I have modded the tech tree such that there is a branch for construction technology. Small scale building through Massive scale building. Each tech of that branch gives access to a smaller branch of hull design technology. Basic Hull building through to Master Hull building. I've created five different branches of hull building, one for fighters, gunships, frigates, cruisers, and battleships. (tiny, small, medium, large, and huge)
I've laid out the tech so that I could assign different stats to EVERY hull for more variety. Instead of four different small hulls with the same HP's and capacity, I've created four different small hulls, with four different sets of abilities. I've done this for all hulls. Each hulls has a corresponding Hull design technology that must be researched before you will have access to it.
However, core templates and ships are not adhering to the technology restrictions. When I research basic fighters for example, two different templates and ships show up under core templates and ships. Whats the deal?
