Hey folks,
I have a question, and if the answer is no, I would like to know if it could be a possible addition to the modding ability of version 1.2.

Is it possible to add custom ship models WITHOUT over-writing some of the models already there? I am tweaking with ideas on a custom race and would like them to have their own custom ships as well. But I also like to have the game randomly select my opponents and I don't want to change the ships that they use.

Do we know if this is something that is in the game now, or could be part of the game?
