Things I (and others, it seems) would like to see soon

A few seemingly minor tweaks

I personally love minor races, great extra factor in the galactic equation. I was HUGELY dissapointed to see the latest update removed so many of them! Please add a feature to the game that allows us to choose how many we would like.

Some other features for the sandbox game creator I would like to see are:
- a toggle for research trading (you have already heard this and I think I read are working on it).
- Starting treasury options.
- Improved starting tech level options (currently this is somewhat lame, always we are discovering everything begining with fire and the wheel).
- Something to choose minor races would be nice, game just doesn't feel right without some of them.
- Oh and something to turn up the galactic events would be nice as well, bad and good, I really do think they spice the game nicely, although they are so so rare I have only seen some once in many games. Where is the XML file to tweak the ones that aren't in events.xml btw?

I noticed there are many other race portraits in the GFX folder but it seems the spawing races (venge, vegans, paradians etc.) will often duplicate already used icons or racial portraits, please take a few seconds and clean that up. 3-4 scottlingus running around calling themselves different names detracts somewhat from my gameplay experience.

I so miss seeing all the different minor races

We have alot of these on our list under "Advance Options", where we'll be putting a button on the startup screen that REALLY lets the player go crazy with the galaxy and game setup. Keep in mind that, while most of these seem rather easy to implement, the AI has to take these into account when formulating a strategy (ex. the AI right now may assume it has 5000bc to start with, then screw itself by buying too many items).

Dunno when it's planned to go in, but it's definatly on our list

Glad you asked.

1. An option to reverse list on the planet pop-up window. The planet that will build it's factory in 17 turns does NOT always need my attention. I want it to show turns in one week at the top, so i can adjust sliders to get the most completed VS other factors, much more often than the prior.

2. PLEASE fix the planet view "turns to complete" error. I know this has been mentioned, but worth repeating. (major bug imo. Hoses GNN zoom usefullness, ect)

3. Certainly a lot harder to implement, but how about an option for a "dangerous start" where you also start out with an armed scout. Would make the initial anomaly/colony grab a lot more interesting. You don't need the tech to have the ship, just look at the flag ship and ya know it's possible.

But the real hard part would be starting ship options in the race creation. JOMT. Just one more tab

. I have not tried to "balance" this, but example is
Start with 10 ship points.
Flag ship cost 6 points.
Colony ship costs 4 points
Scout ship costs 2 points (fast)
Armed scout costs 3 point (slow)
Left over points: Increase home world sensor range

It would open up some different starting strategies. You could forego anomaly hunting and start with 2 colony ships and a cheap scout (expansive start), a colony ship and 2 armed scouts (war start), 5 scouts (explorer start), One big fricken eyeball and no ships, ect...

You get the idea.

I have the same feeling of WTF_Chuck about minor races.Having all these races that look similar is really annoying and detract immersivity to the game.It could appear a small problem but there are people that look to particulars and are really detracted by these "cosmetic" problems.I have never customized a race so didn't notice there were other portraits so it could be a lot easier to link it to a minor race.Having all minor races their own portrait and a better description would add a lot of life to these and also the game.If all minor races could be so unic like Snathi,Carinoids and Dark Yor my only word could be only WOW!!!!!!!!

.Another suggestion better minor races description would be really appreciated
