I'm working on a mod and of course that means new races. I can accept the AI not being editable thats fine, just means I need to match my new races to the old AI's. I am curious in how the AI works tho. Is it set or does it look overall at the techs I give it to start with and build from there? What happen if I edit the tech tree?
For my mod I was planning on ramping things up, shortening the weapon trees and starting races off with weapons. If I shorten or edit the tech tree in this way how will the AI handle it? If I had race only techs with special new buildings will the AI use them? Or just ignore them and build what old buildings it knows? I'm probly asking too much from the AI but you never know.
Also is there a debug mode or some other way I can see what the AI does each turn?
