Can't build new ship?

Need help

Hi I am new here,

I started play the game today but I can't build ship new I need help on that? When that box thing comes up it says I have zero military need to upgrade or something how do I do that? I also contrust a starbase for military and hit turn in the right hand coner then go to the starbase but there no new units.

Ok first please don't post in blue.
Second you must build a starport on the planet you want to build ships on.

After you've built a starport on a planet the option appears to construct new ships from that planet. The game provides its own ships. Its my first day of play too and i had my first shot at customising some ships, its a lot of fun making your own designs

I bulit a starport but there's no new ship appear in the box. And I no military upgrade how do I upgrade that too?

After you build a starport, you need to tell the starport to build something.
The easiest way to do this is to click on the planet in the main map view to select it.
Then, click the "Build" button near the bottom of the screen. This will open a list of ships you can build. Select a ship and click Done. Your planet will then start building that ship.

If you have a military starbase, you can upgrade it by sending another constructor to it. When the constructor gets to the base, you will be asked what you want to add to the starbase.

Here's what I did I clicked the starport then clicked on the contrust ship to upgrade it it says no new modules available for military starbase.

What? Star Port or Star Base?
Star base you upgrade by sending another constructor to the station. You don't ugrade the port.

I did send a coustutructor to the station but it said no new modules available for the military starbase. How do I put in new modules where do I upgrade.

You need to research the starbase offense/deffense techs. Thos will unlock new modules for your military starbases.
