I just love me some Apple bashing :). Most ifad come latelys seem to have no idea Apple is only still around thanks to Bill Gates and Microsoft. Thirteen years ago Apple was in danger of going the way of the dinasour till Gates bailed them out with $150 Million dollars and developing some of their apps for Jobs and Co.. The very next year the first iMac rolls out and they're back on the map. Of course all this was a big help for MS as well. They were in the middle of fighting off a bunch of a

Here's a little article about the some of the issues reviewers found after a weekend with it and sharing it with others to see their reactions/how they use it. Pretty much a lot of the same complaints mentioned here and elsewhere, but a couple of new ones I hadn't seen as well.
Kinda hard to swallow a civilization being able to foretell the end of the world, but not have an inkling to avoid their own society's destruction. :)
Byebye Cali, was nice knowing ya. Say hi to Hawaii when you become neighbors [e digicons][/e] Seriously though, there has been some crazy tectonic activity here in the last few months. I hope this isn't leading up to something even more catastrophic.
After getting my controller setup I ended up back on KB/Mouse anyways. Didn't like trying to drive with an analog stick without having analog, I was all over the place [e digicons][/e] . After playing with the mouse sensitivity settings I think I have it where I want it. I went and raised some hell at the NPP with the Ultars(or is it Ulars) and am having a blast. Since I game in moods I normally have about four different games being played through at once. An action game, a rac
I wouldn't mind seeing TA:Kingdoms on Impulse either. The game probably wouldn't of been so looked down upon if they had just not called it a TA game since obviously it isn't, but I found it to be a lot of fun. Played it almost as much as the original TA.
Umm? I'v mapped my controls nicely to my n52 and mouse (needed to put one macro on the mouse for the side button to jump).
I had to google n52 to see what it was :) . I'll try to use my Logitech profiler to map over controls, just usually lose the analog part if the pad isn't supported directly in game. Still would be better then driving with KB/mouse though.
It is definately a multi platform release, but that doesn't mean port. I have a 360, but theres
I really want to like this game, but I am having a hell of a time getting into it. Maybe it's the controls. Seems like it would be more fluid with a controller(especially for driving), the mouse just feels a little "off" though I can't pinpoint how. The lack of any controller configs besides an Xbox360 controller is almost a gamebreaker. If I had a 360 controller I would probably have a 360 and not be playing it on the PC to begin with. Whenever I see that I think console port and that opens
Wow. You guys sound like CRTs were 20 years ago or more. I still have Viewsonic CRT I bought for $150 about ten years ago(about the time LCDs were coming out, but still sucked for gaming) that I still use as a second monitor. I decided a long time ago I'd replace it when it died, but after thousands upon thousands of hours and probably close to a thousand games to grace it's screen it's still going strong. It looks like someones taken to already trying to make an Ipad killer. Another
Much like Vista, W7 turns off drives not in use. But unlike Vista I haven't found a way to stop it doing it yet.
Not sure if this will do it for ya since currently I just have one multi-partitioned HD on the system, but try... Control Panel>Performance Information and Tools. You'll see "Adjust power settings" on the left. Then go to change plan settings. From there hit "Change advanced power settings" and you should get a treed window. Select hard disk and ch
I was one of those that stuck with XP as long as I thought it viable. Had it from a few months after it came out up to a month or so ago. Had it perfectly stable and suited to me. More importantly all my games, whether designed for Win3.1 up to DX10 only worked on it.(a little trickery for DX10 :) ) Win7 brings some fresh air with it and I have very few complaints. My biggest gripe of course being some older games that won't work and may never work right on it. For instance, I have to
NFS: Pro Street(a better game than I thought it'd be at first) The Witcher Borderlands I'm a wait for prices to drop type of guy, why I am usually playing last year's games :) .
I finally got around to grabbing this excellent deal. One note that may or may not help others concerning the color mess at >1024x768. Everytime it does it to me at 1440x900 I just hit F2 to bring up the menu, hit options then sound. I don't even have to hit any actual options, just the act of clicking on "sound" to bring up it's menu fixes the colors right up everytime. This is on Win7 64bit, fullscreen and may not work for everyone/setup. This fixes it until my desktop changes background
OMG! Who needs SupCom2? The game SC2 wishes it was is here now! [e digicons][/e]
I don't watch Television per se. Can't stand all the commercials and network primetime is pretty much cop show, cop show, doctor show, unreality garbage. Shows I get into I watch online or Dl'd through services. Right now working my way through Scrubs season by season. That's how I watch most shows. Wait till it's been around a good long while then watch them all at once.
Every other year? lol It would be nice if I had the money to build a new rig "every other year". Try every 4-5 years if I'm lucky.
That sounds like me. I had a 128MB Geforce 6800OC I held onto till just over a year or so ago(along with an XP3000 CPU). I finally broke down and grabbed a Phenom and GTX260 when I started finding games I couldn't meet the minimum on. It will probable be another 3 or more years before planning to upgrade again. I mean why would I? I haven't
I consider myself kind of a collector of sorts so I never get rid of my old games. I used to frequent a few of the stores though back when they still had a good selection of PC games and watch them ripping off kids with their trade ins. a game they give 5 bucks for would be on the shelf the next day for 35 or more. It's totally ridiculous. I guess the people that don't mind goig through with it either really don't put much in the percieved value, or it was parent's money that bought them to b
A friend of mine has a proggy to lock his mouse in one monitor, just wish I could recall the name of it at the moment. He might see this and pipe in. If not I'll ask him later and try to get back if you hadn't found a good solution by then. I have been using two monitors for a couple of years and have found very little trouble with mouse straying even without any additional proggys. Most games in fullscreen on primary mon. will lock the mouse on their own, only problem spots being a f
They usually only bug me when someone seems to feel the need to go respond to every one in order so the entire recent posts list is nothing but them. Otherwise ignoring them is tolerable.
I've heard "It's the publisher's decision" repeatedly. GPG signed the contract either giving up their rights to diversify distribution or knowing going in what their publishers plans were. They are just as much to blame if people are unhappy with the choice. I could care less because I wouldn't be buying it either way, but that line really doesn't hold water.
You mean people use Facebook for something other than Mafia Wars or Farmville? [e digicons];P[/e] Good tip though [e digicons][/e]
Too much NASCAR Sim huh? Maybe you could mod all the tracks and only turn right. My wheel and pedals are in the closet for the time being...no DA, I won't sell em for 8 bucks.
LoL. I think I was playing Nascar SimRacing when it died, but i'm really more of a road course and rally guy. Ovals are to boring after a few laps :).I do still have wheel/pedals for my dreamcast, and mouse/keyboard for it. Take that crappy dreamcast controller. heh
Really? Four p
The second part? What like a sequal? Do you have to buy the game in two parts? Is it an expansion or some sort of DLC? I'm sure I can go to the site and check.. but I doubt I will..
No, it's actually going to be three parts. Greed wins again.
i shelled out $300 in about 1997 for the thrustmaster t2, and have never used the keyboard for racing games again
I had one of those I picked up for $8 at a yard sale sometime around 2001-2002. I think it was a parent that didn't know what they could of gotten out of it. The thing was great for several years until it stopped turning left. Wish I could find another deal like that again.
As I read more about this it seems what is speculated they are doing is to hold part/most of the game on their servers. I guess they figure it's uncrackable because vital parts of the game are never residing on your local PC. I'm not sure cause I am not a coder/hacker in any way, but I would think if it still has to pass through your RAM someone will find a way to "catch" it and put it back together for use without internet or as a lot of cases have shown it will get leaked in whole and still
