As far as I know GC2 is reported to run fine on Vista in principle, but I'm not sure if this is an official recommendation/guarantee. Regarding the pirates, I think you're talking about the so-called "mega event", these special events (intended to topple over whole games) can be deactivated if you prefer. That would be the right settings for players new to the game I guess.

My calculation takes the 30 days depreciation into account. It used to give the exact result up to a single point, but it's not doing that anymore. Maybe something is wrong with my scores behind the scenes.

As far as I know this is intentional. You get the bonus from the trade good, but you're not allowed to trade it further to anyone else - consider it a licence without commercial rights.

It's SumOfDepreciatedScores divided by the NumberOfGames to the 0.4 power (that's slightly less than the square root of NumberOfGames). Also each games score depreciates at 5% a month down to a minimum of 65% of their original value. This would result in a total score of 131351 according to my carefully implemented Excel sheet, but the Metaverse shows 134756. It did work half a year ago, but now I don't hit the right result anymore...

Metaverse Question # 1: How does scoring work? The general forumula is SumOfDepreciatedScores / NumberOfGames^4 Scores deprecate by 5% every 30 days with the maximum depreciate being 65% at 290 days or more. The formula above (taken from the very first posting of this thread) clearly is wrong, but does anybody have a working one?
