One of the componeants i use often, one of the wings, when you put it on both sides of a ship is noticibly lower on one side no matter what you do than on the other. Especially on larger ships when you get up to huge size. I use this componeant often and find this VERY annoying. I tried tweaking with the new adjustments youcan do but that doesn't work what so ever. I find this to be incredibly annoying. I'm sure people know what i'm talking about.

I've been wondering this for a while but really didn't bother posting about it as it didn't bother me. My problem is that the engine "flame" from ships in combat doesn't work properly. It will either not show up at all or, in some models, will show up in the exact center of the basic template or in some other wierd location. Just been wondering if this is a bug. I remember a patch added an option to turn off engine flame, why turn it off when it doesn't work in the first place? I want
Yes, its as the last guy said its exactly the same, no difference across the board.
Anyone know what the limits are on downloade custom ships in metaverse? For both newly created models and ones created from componeants? I was thinking of using those babylon 5 ships but am afraid it will not let me do metaverse.
I noticed that this armor has duplicates, it will have a higher number (ie II instead of the default) yet it has the EXACT same stats in every category. I noticed this with a few weapons as well but someone mentioned it in a previous post.
I've had this idea for a while now since I was getting annoyed by how home systems work for custom races. Why not add a system that is in with making a custom race that allows a player to design their home starsystem within the game. I know you can do it in the XML, but even there you have to change the default. If you make a separate entry and put in the homeworld name or star name of that entry when you make a race it works like it would if you didn't even edit the XML. So obviousl
hes a nazi
I've never seen any star in 1.1 even besides yellow with planets. ARE YOU SURE YOUR NOT THINING OF GC1?
Little bugs that nobody ever responds to when people post it. Like the engine "flare" or "vapor" now working and how city lights on planets act really strange. Those are the only bugs I notice. Also one of the "wing" modules when you put it on both sides of the ship isn't even, one is like one whole height of the wing lower than the other and it makes designs look VERY odd. Three minor bugs right their, the only one that annoys me is the bug on that wing module. That one RE
Yes, so long as this is on your local PC it would be cool. If it were online their would be too many ties for the records as the game limits certain things.

and the taking of ships wont happen either it jsut doesnt mesh right with the current system of combat They had it in SMAC, which is almost exactly the same as this game. Spy units could "bribe" things or their was units with pirate modules in the sea that had a chance to capture a unit instead of killing it. It would work.
yes it is indeed BROKE.
bump maybe?
I noticed people on this board and others complaing about the AI being agressive. I notice that this isn't a problem with the Arceans. They send massive fleets of ships combined with around 8 transports in my last game to attack my planets on NORMAL difficulty. I think the AI is agressive, its just that certain races dont do so well. Like how the Drengin ALWAYS fail to do anything in the game. Its always the Altarian, Torians, and Arceans. Everyone else does below average or worse.
Saw this on another board and this guy hits the nail on the head. 1. AI does never specialise its planets, i.e. no planets that only have factories to produce ships quickly. 2. AI does spend inane amounts of money and resources on static defenses, i.e. the ships in orbit. Mobile warfare is much cheaper though and with unrestricted movement it's definitely advantageous to have ships moving around in fleets and meeting the enemy in open combat than waiting for him to assemble
Survey modules include sensor radius, so its not a pointless wonder. For me though it would be better to have it just increase the radius of all ships and planets instead.
Your ship designs are good, i'm going to have to dl this.
I have never seen the vapour trail. I noticed the option to turn it on or off in the options, and mine is on, but I've still never seen it. Ya I was confused by their adding an option for it when it doesn't even work. Thats why I thought it was my computer, since obviously they seem to think that the trails work in the game.
Their should be more special ability devices on this game. As of now its all utility devices simular to how unit design was used on SMAC. Like trade modules, colony modules, and things like that. What I want to see is something, for example, that i could use to maybe have a small chance of taking enemy ships? Or if you attack freighters you can get some money? For example if you leave a ship on a trade route with this specific modules you get a certain percentage of the trade income. Also what a
I just press print screen, paste into photoshop, then save for web.
I wish their was a "wonder" for this. I hate wasting space on these defensive things.
I just build economy structions on the approval and influence tiles anyways, eventually they will upgrade to stock market which has those as bonuses and your all set.
The only thing that pisses me off about sliders is that they aren't unique to a save game. My slider settings in one game affect another, or when i start a game.
