Horatio, for the other issue, resave your customized version of the Drengin with a different name... like Drengin-X. I'm curious if that resolves your other issue. With my pure custom races I haven't seen the super-ability set to anything other than what I assigned them.

OK, I just confirmed part of what you're seeing. I made a customized race called the Ur'Quan and set all their stats and made them a member of the War Party. When I played in a test game I set cheat parameters so I could see their stats. Instead of being a War Party group, they were Federalists. It is a true okeasure being able to jump around a galaxy that's so alive and vibrant, detailed and spectacular. But for myself, I pretty much only play Metaverse games and on Huge maps at that. If you're using Logic Sequence's work, the only thing it would change is the red star. But if you compare the two red stars (from both of us) they're very close. Hi everyone. Way back in August I started working on changing some of the star graphics to make them look a bit more natural/vibrant in the game. For myself, the Purple and Green Stars just didn't seem to fit in as well. I finally finished them up (and I also updated the White & Red Stars too). Laufer - if you'd like to enjoy a game right now... get Dark Avatar. Dark Avatar is complete, polished, has excellent AI, graphics, and Meteverse is great (love having it keep track of your games). Space Empires V needs a lot of work yet... a lot. If you've never played a 4x game, Space Empires V will overhwelm and frustrate you to no end. DrAsik - what I would suggest is just work your own files. Ther'es no need to create dependancies on Logic's great work. Just create it as an independant project and if someone wants to use them they can plop them in the \\My Documents\My Games\GC2DarkAvatar\Gfx\Space folder. This way a person doesn't have to enable mods, and the game will function normally with Metaverse. Of course you can make it use the mods folder instead... just a suggestion from the peanut gallery <img src="htt

It very well could be the techs that were chosen to be traded were higher chits on the research chart... thus you automatically received the precursor techs. For example, the random tech chosen was Warp Drive V (and you had no warp drives at all)... then you'd automatically inherit Warp Drive I-IV techs since they're precursor's.

Yep. I just ran a whole slew of test sim games and out of 15 on huge (or smaller) hadn't seen it. Of course on Gigantic I saw a few each time. It'd great to have ti confirmed to be random. Random is always good

Hmmm, I wonder if the habitable planets option HAS to be abundant for them to appear. I was hoping it wouldn't because I like a sparse galaxy.

Anyone get purple stars in a game -with a game size less than Gigantic? If so, do you remember you game setup (habitable planets, planets, stars, etc)? I'm wondering if it's possible to see them in a huge galaxy (or smaller) with habitable planets at occasional or less. So far I haven't seen it.
