I think is because of there superability other custom opponents Ive made with that hability behaved in much the same manner. And a race I thought I wouldnt like were the Thalans there techs suck at the beginning and then they kick ass late game and theyre Galactic wonders make marvels when put in the homeworld ALMOST saves you from the economic dip of the colony rush.

Does it launch a message like "out of memory" or something like that???

The graphics are pretty stuning but I dont particularly enjoy the Lost-ish way they present characters its a nice sidedish but I actually enjoyed the fights both in space and inland of Atlantis if it can put up with both thats a winner for me, though i would like for the season to end before casting a definite vote. ( Ididnt like the sotne-communicator part though I would have enjoyed it more if they where withou earth contact).

Theres an xml file called UPIssues, I believe all things UP are there, though i woulndt know how to modify it for that kind of thing, in the library though there are some UP mods wht dont you ask their creators if they know how?

You could give a huge penalty to ALL the game races to research that would make the trick no?

Not really balancing you can change the races form the Rece.xml on the data folder (tip: if you change the Ai behaviour of the minors to one of the majors and quit and reload the game just as it begins the minors will expand) check the library for mods that you maylike, imod for game changing mods and the mod thread of the forum (be sure to download the Naval-style in the forum is awesome). And remember if you play inmense be mindfull as of the nmber of planets believe me an overpacked galaxy

Yep thankfully this isnt steam, Stardock-developed games usually only need a one time activation on impulse and theyre yours forever and ever and Impulse doesnt tries to verify the instlation everytime you access it like Steam. (at least thats how it works for me).

You are also doing a custom ship style? cause that would be awesome, and if all races are using the same techtree why not also give them some special buildings (there are a few collections of structure images mods at imod if you want to check it out, though nothing specially impressive).

Dont know if this will help you but a few posts ago there was a compilation of ALL AARs up to that moment, at least I think maybe it will help: https://forums.galciv2.com/125748

Im curently using it on Dark Avatar, but dont worry it the civs have unique techs. A and you put it in the mod section of dark avatar.

Happened the same to me down here in Mexico, dont worry just send your receipts and serials to Stardock support by mail (the adress is a few posts up in "how to send a bug report") , explain your situation and voila, no hassle, and your english is pretty good, dont worry. [e digicons]:D[/e]

I recently managed to get myself rid of this bug, turns out that the High definition mod 2.0 is not compatible with the 2.03 version of Gal Civ 2 (thats what I personally think) I had this problem, and then I deleted this mod and everything was fine, I think it has something to do with the planet textures of the mod, as that seemed to be the most damaging of all, anyway so if you have this bug, check out if you have any planet modded textures, that might be the cause, maybe.

As long as you have your serial number you can email stardock and ask them to put your game on Impulse, I had a similar problem as i have no credit card i have to order my games through 3rd parties and my games end up registered to another mail, only thing you have to do is write an email to support with the data of your problem and game serial numbers, explain your situation and all done.

News people I just uninstalled the High definition Mod (apparently is no longer compatible with version 2.03, but worked incredibly fine in -1.96 versions) and athe game stopped crashing (for now) when i saved, Im not saying its a solution as i havent played that long and will probably have to restart a new game since planets now look like black holes in the current one, any way ill keep you posted if this solved my problem with the Out of memory bug, I hope this helps.
