Really? That's not my experience at all... they seem ridiculously overpowered to me. I played on immense... I just 'pwned'. Perhaps it just fits my play style. I am not a fighter... I am a turtler. I had a ridiculously overpowered turtled empire.

'A bonus expansion pack'?!?! You want the entire game redesigned IN A NEW ENGINE as an expansion pack??
Sorry I'm so stupid to ask, its just I have 4 brothers and lots of freinds, and we like to play.
No, we understand. But, my two favorite points against it: 1st, Galciv is an awesome game. I'm sure we all agree? Well, 33% of budget usually goes to making a game multiplayer. So Galciv would be 2/3s as good. 2nd, Galciv is singleplayer. Ship design? You would be designing ships and you would be attacked--or
Yeah! It's great! I just have a question... for stupid old me... Just to make sure, since the box only says 'Tech Stealing', when it is ticked, is that no tech stealing or yes tech stealing. Just making sure I'd have to say that by checking the box you ENABLE tech stealing. I played a game with it checked and I've received many techs via invasions. [/
Ok, so I hope I can use this bonus pack patch thing or I'll have to resort to downloading the patches on P2P. Would be a shame but can't be avoided. I already refuse to use steam and the likes and find it rather unfortunate, that stardock has decided to go down that road. What's the problem with allowing users logged in to this website to download the patch anyway or making the patches in a way so they ask for a serial?
I have the same problem, and I've been having it since the game originally came out. Sorry for dragging up an old thread.
And also, sometimes one of the sliders is greyed out. I'm serious. You can't use it. This is in TA; I'll post a screenshot later.
So now I'm going to have to start another game because I like having income, as well as being able to fight wars.
Um, do you not save? I hate the events in an in-game way, but I love them really. But if you are really annoyed about it, why don't you reload from a prior point?

I love that event! It completely ruins what I've been planning! I actually do like it. The who point of the mega events is to shake up the game.
Jeez guys, its just a story. Are you enjoying it or not?
Lol! That's exactly what I was trying to say! Who cares what he's called? I love it!
Continuity not as bad as you think, an Admiral (caps) is also the captain (maybe no caps?) of his ship. Even in the military, at least in older times, you could have officers addressed by their functional rank within the unit instead of their actual, perhaps higher, rank based on their higher-level functions. Of course, if that is not what you meant... <img id=
I think that the question of "Why can't the AI win an alliance victory?" has been mostly answered, but pieces of the answers are in various replies. By definition, an alliance victory is one in which all the remaining players in the game are allied. In order for this to occur, you have to be eliminated. This results in a Military loss for you. It would technically be an Allied win for the AI players, but since the game is single player,
Technically every time you win by diplomatic victory, so does the AI...at least the ones you ally with No they don't. The first player to have an alliance with everyone wins. Granted it's possible that you're allied with everyone, and the on
Erm, the ultimate part of the game is winning - or losing. That's what it all leads up to. So... that is rather serious, yes. Let me clarify...I would consider a bug that crashes the game upon achieving a diplomatic victory (or loss) a SERIOUS bug. But programming logic that does not allow the AI to achieve a diplomatic victory is not what I would consider a SERIOUS bug, especially if it's not actually a bug, b
