I mean, hell, look at Earth. We're already looking at severe overpopulation, and we're 6 billion people!
Did you know that you could fit the entire world population into Texas... and have less than the population density of New York City? Zarth

No. Jobs cannot be created or lost. This has been happening FOREVER! When these machines cause downsizing, these people go on to work at places where they are needed now: hospitals, research firms, etc... These machines are not destroying jobs, they are allowing people to do other things while their previous job is still done! It's a great thing!
"If a man does only what is required of him, he is a slave. If a man does more than is required of him, he is a free man" (ancient Arcean proverb) "If a man does only..."? Why would Arceans refer to themselves in such a way.
It's been through the Universal Translator. The Arceans don't call themselves "Arceans"!

You know what? I'd buy a multiplayer expansion--multiplayer's cool, man. But only if it didn't affect the game. So... only in Galciv3, probably. You see... how does diplomacy work in multiplayer? Etc! Even if you could check the multiplayer checkbox, the game would be broken. So, only if you can do that. And no sweat, Stardock... I don't care enough for multiplayer: I mean how often can you actually play out a game with a friend?... only do it
It looks wonderful. It truly does but there is one issue I like to bring up. Earlier posts said that Civs that conquered planets with different improvements, such as slave pits, would be forced to make hard ethical choices. Still this posts "seems" to say that without the techonology, the improvement would be destroyed.
Yeah! That sounded really cool when I heard about it! What happened to that? I have no idea how it would be implemented,
I haven't tried the new beta yet, but may I suggest rather then destroying the buildings you don't have access to, you just make them disabled and put something like a big red "X" over them or something. That way, if I take over a planet and receive a bunch of useless buildings, I could decide to trade for that technology which would enable those buildings' capabilities. Otherwise, I could demo them myself. What do you think? [/q
Come on - get real. GalCiv2 is a great game, no doubt about it. I feel like I got my money's worth. Congrats. Now - where's the multiplayer? This is not 1994 anymore people. This is 2010. Well, almost. 2007 Quarter three. Quit making excuses. No one is asking Stardock to host a mp infrastructure - use Gamespy for that. Just add mp into the game.
Oh-that's nice of you. In fact, the Gamespy is a good idea. But you are missing somethi
