Which makes colonizing PQ4s or less the more useful on bigger maps, the stepping stone of range may be smally but at least it can provide freighters a sort-of corridor to fly through and from. I'd second on the Hard-Cap oxymoron... a relative value would be necessary in any cases. And, what's with the TotA giga-distances found in the biggest map now - range will actually become an important (if not essential) issue.
*Gasp* X-Worlds not mentioned!
it shouldn't be :(
Why don't you go write GalCiv, then? Or, why don't you go play a NORMAL game which a), sucks, b) has no customer support, c) should be in ALPHA, and d), offers NO WHERE NEAR the amount of moddability that GC does. :(
Sorry, but when you base advances on what we currently have (Which your doing), and try to base that on the future, you PHAIL.Go back in time 100 years. How many would be like you on computers, cars, cell phones?Go back and tell them that metal that can compute advanced mathemtics would rule the world. How many would think your crazy and lock you up?Bingo. I don't agree with this post either. Go back to even just 45 years before the first A bomb went off in 1945, and talk to a bunch of
I may have misspelled a word but I have not referred to any galciv 2 races in this thread. For future reference. The Tholians are the ones that spin the web, I forget the name of the episode.
yes i know
Tholian is star trek not galciv
In that case, I'm sorry for misrepresenting you. Kudos for making a Star Trek race work in GalCiv. Anyway, it still really bothers me when people blatantly misspell things where they have only seen it written down. It's understandable that, after hearing a word, say 'hearing', one misspells it because they don't know how ('heering')... ...but a word that you have LEARNED from in print? If you've seen a mi

Three points: Firstly, it still amazes me when people cannot spell the races' names correctly. 'Knox'? 'Tholians'? Is the art of reading lost? Secondly, obviously, something that adds a NEW FEATURE is not jewelry. Thirdly, um, Danielost: you can't MOD IN NEW game mechanics. Also, Twilight's on feature lock.

Well... because they offered preorder, I'm sure we're all slightly disappointed that the release date is being pushed back. For most of us, I think, that's far outweighed by the facts that we love Stardock, love the new features, love the AI updates, the editors... etc. Think logically: yes, it's disappointing... but the alternative is no preordering. :-)
As much as I love the game, the in-game movies aren't that great.
Um... view the movies from their source files, from the viewer. Take, for instance, the water and speeder movie, the Dread Lords have come invasion movie, and the DL campaign intro and outro movies. Also, the alliance and military win movies.

No, i think that KrazyDocK is right. Your survey ship gets XP, which means that ifit's upgraded to a military ship, it's better. I think.
Why is it they have shelved this game line so long? Starcraft 2 and 3 should have been released by now.
Yes? Why don't you make it, then.
so let me get this right, you can only have as many songs/mp3 files as there already is? (as you have to rename them to the originals)??Pretty rubbish if you ask me, as I want a full playlist, not a couple of tunes
(i think) it's not a playlist. It plays the different tunes at different times... obviously... viz. War 1, Race 7, Theme, blah blah.
