I'm not really sure if this is the right place to put this, but I thought it was better then any other options I saw. I'm trying to import some ship designs from the main library (here at galciv2.com), notably the following http://library.galciv2.com/index.aspx?m=277 http://library.galciv2.com/index.aspx?m=673 http://library.galciv2.com/index.aspx?m=623 http://library.galciv2.com/index.aspx?m=544 http://library.galciv2.com/index.aspx?m=544 http://library.ga

Now I understand exactly why alot of the good players always built focused planets (all factories or all research) I prefer to use full research (I tend to find that with a five generation advantage in weapons and in armor tech there isn't much the A.I can do to stop me). Only issue is getting the game started up early when you have to buildup your worlds. The problem I've always had with all industry is
I don't believe that's correct though. Somebody please test it, or when I get home from work I'll test it. 100% on the economic slider means 100% of every unit you can produce of social, military, or research. You can impose self-limits by working the sliders wrong, but you should be able to use everything to capacity if you have the sliders set right. Somebody test this out and verify, but I believe it to be correct.
Gosh, Scintor, what difficulty level are you playing? I prefer to play on a level playing field, so I stay away from the higher levels where the AIs get considerable bonuses. I also play exclusively in gigantic, abundant everything galaxies. Most games take 100+ hours of playing time to finish. I realize that most players would not enjoy the play style that I like, but I really enjoy the fact that the ga
This map will be included in the final 1.6 btw. What will it be called and when can we expect to see it? Is there a built in map editor in the game? Any chance you could release more maps like that?
Excellent post my friend, you pretty well summed up the majority of the issues I have with the game. Like you said though, its still a great game and you can work around these problems.
there is this little check box under the picture click that. It costs a lot of BC so watch out Hurry for being oblivious! Thanks guys.
Is there a way to upgrade a class of ships across your entire empire, or do you have to do so individually?
He's depicting the Krynn as religious fanatics, I don't think their are any plagues or virus's, instead I'd suspect their actions are religious in nature. At the same time, handing over my Doom Ray Weapons doesn't bother me in game, especially if I have fully researched shields... The Acrean's are acting stupid. You could argue they are trying to take over the Terrans so they have a larger force to attack the Krynn with, and to avoid having the Terrans fall to the Krynn (making the Kryn
Amusing, I've never had them spawn. Never gotten a Precurser ship either though. For some reason I always get the population boost, the xenophobia, the max speed 5, and the tourism ones.
The more you increase your population on each planet the more annoyed each planet gets. Depending on your tax rate and how well your civ is doing in the various category's (military strength, research, economy, ect) your people get more or less annoyed. Don't feel bad, I generally need at least one zero g stadium on most of my planets to keep moral up where I like it, even with a pretty decent racial bonus and a 20+ mining starbase for moral.
Definately crank up the intel on your adversaries. I set it at beginner, which is still not quite "sits and drools" and I had both the Drengin and Yor thuggin' on me. I eventually attacked one of them, the Yor I think and got a nice scape going. After I got comfortable with the game, I use a large map, 5 AIs, at normal setting and I have the Yor and Drengin thuggin' and eventually one of them, usually the Yor, declare war. In this last g
