With other games, usually you could go to My Computer and find the main program folder for the game, then go through the sub-folders until you found the "Saved" folder, and in that folder were all your saves. Then you could either delete those you didn't want or replay games from the save point. I was a little surprised to find that I couldn't do this with GA DA. I'm still wondering where on my hard drive the saves are hidden.

OK, thanks, somehow missed My Games, but now have the GC DA folder, and the saves are there. However, DA apparently overwrites saves in such a way that you only have saves of the latest game, plus a save called "endgame save". You do not have saves from previously played games so that you can have more than one game going at the same time. Anybody know if this is correct, or is there a way to save a half-finished game, start another one and save it, and have both available when you want to play again?

The game automatically saves AutoSave.sav and PreviousAutoSave.sav as the current game progresses (at intervals set in Options), and EndGameSave.sav at the end of a current game.

When I begin a game I start by saving the game plus a backup with a unique name (Copy of Game1 and Game1 for example).
Then I periodically save the game with these names (overwriting each time, or with another unique name) at key points.

So if you like your starting position, save the game as Game1Start. Then you can begin the game repeatedly and play it with different strategies.
If you want to branch off from a certain point in the game, just save it also as another unique name at that point so you can go back and try different things.


This game is very versatile in the way it saves games. You are not really locked into anything.
