any info on the logs vis-a-vis the person who tried it?

I'd love that too - especially if they were more commonplace. Got any plans for the next one, Wynd? ^_^
Maybe not patches, but an expansion that did an overhaul of the AI, including making trades actually work? I'd pay money for that almost as fast as I would for multiplayer. Put the two together and you have the recipie for the perfect expansion - makes everyone happy, box it up and stick it in stores. but now I'm off on a tangent so I'll get back to the discussion, sorry. -------- The trade system really, really needs an overhaul - AIs just arent INTELLIGEN
You have onboard graphics, im not sure how much damage that's gonna do, but it's not gonna be good for a 3-d game like GalCiv2
The computer does calculations based on your actions while you play. if you have lots of AIs, there it is.
Yeah, I hate how the AIs offer each other fair trades, while they offer me stuff like "we would like to give you laser theory in exchange for Majesty"
I think some combination of the spies you have AND your economy. The more money I make the more spies seem to cost, and the same with the more spies I've had during the game.
We appreciate your work in the community for this, Kyro. It's a shame we cant do it this way, though I think the current way is a bearable alternative.
Have you patched up yet? The diplomacy gets much harder after the more recent set of patches. And yes, Super Diplomat really is a super ability - you can do a lot of ridiculous stuff with it.
Some sort of light Multiplayer. You dont need to waste time balancing it, just put a disclaimer on it that says something like Multiplayer intended for fun only - balance not included. I just want the ability to play with other humans, instead of AI's. We'll take care of what's allowed and what isnt on our own!
I'm not even looking to play against people I know - my girlfriend and I both have galciv and we're dying to ally up and slap the AIs around. Also, the human player experience in a Civ game is so much more different than an AI. You can trick humans with feint moves, though you cant embroil them in wars (unless you pay an AI to get into it with them) and you may or may not have to give your left arm for techs, but some of the trades probably wont be nearly as bad.
Just got in from work (arr zombie shift) and finished up this game - just a matter of polishing off the tools of war and bashing the remaining races to a bloody pulp - the Krynn got pretty much stepped on and never posed a real threat. Actually, no one really did - the speed +2 boost to colonize the main good planets in the Small galaxy really helped me pretty much abuse the three AIs all game - they just didnt have the planets to oppose me. Shame I didn't put more than four in, coulda
Just watch out for the cashflow pains when invading planets - first you take pop away from one of your own planets to fight and capture, then you eat the maintenance fees on the colony as you build it.
Almost tied? let me help! First metaverse game, first game with the Korath - and yes, I did make sure to exterminate the worthless Krynn first
Pirate and Spy Infestation events both suck - and I like 99% of the megas, but those two just ruin it.
Sounds like a good pretext for war, in my opinion. There's not enough options like the ability to blockade the enemy anyways.
I'd love a "go away" option. IT'd also be interesting if you were in between a civ at war with another civ - they'd have to risk pissing you off to kill each other. Speaking of good devs, Stardock rules! Turbine's a damn good company too. Blizzard's customer support went DOWN THE TUBES with WoW.
Wouldnt mind the mega events so much if I could mod the spy event out. that one just plain sucks.
I'd like to see this too - I use xfire to keep in touch with the regulars on my CSS server and it'd be nice to be able to talk to them without alt-tabbing.
That would be a very good QoL change, IMO. Even if you made it so say, we had to bring the freighter to the non-building planet to pick up supplies, then launch it again. Use the assign option like the mining bases have, and remove any "over time" route bonuses when you move the origin point.
I've never had it do anything to the module style of my custom (or modded original) races. How odd...
I use escape to close open windows, but I don't know about tab.
Yeah, agree with you Ray. I'd also like to see the AI take into account the fact that you're stealing his planets, and perhaps approach you with a trade - you give him the planets back and he gives you some tech, money, and peace.
Yes. I support both an option for no anomalies and no bonus tiles in their respective game options.
We need a sandbox game option for planet bonus tiles.
