Sorry, its been awhile since I played the game. The actually issue, I believe was alliances, not wars. When I make 2 or three allainces and then war broke out, the messages that would come from different civs due to the war actually werent from the civilizations they were supposed to be from. I believe it was a known bug, it wasn't just something I encountered, so it was probably fixed. So, no real changes to culturial influence invasions. Meh. It kind of feels like

Can anyone answer a question about the latest version of DA? I haven't been to these forums in many months, and I wanted to know if the developers ever fixed culturial influence in this game. I seached the dev journals for the answers in the game updates, but I didn't see an answer. In particular, if you build a bunch of culturial starbases around another civ's planet, will they care at all? do they seem alarmed? I am not talking about that stupid -1 to relations or whatever it was,
I guess I am going to switch over and play DL instead of DA until some patches get released. I can't take it. I just sat down and played my first full entire game of DA, and its terrible. First of all, I was having problems when I try and colonize a planet. When my colony ships arrive at a new planet, the colonize screen comes up, and it is all wrong. It shows the planet name correctly, but instead of a bare planet, it shows improvements from a different planet of mine, minu
Can you explain what you mean by "lose all upgraded tiles"? By upgraded tiles do you mean all tiles gained from habitation and terraforming? Just the tiles on the planet you invade, or all of your upgraded tiles for your entire civilization? I havent played DA much, just DL, so I am not yet familiar with this bug.
I wish I could find the posts you are refering to. Other people have told me the same thing, but my searches for "Frogboy" aren't showing me any of his comments about culture. Hopefully they will improve it sometime. In my opinion, an influence starbase should never be very near a planet without its owner becoming alarmed/angry. At present, he doesn't even notice.
Well, I am playing the latest version of DL. I have DA at home for me begging to be installed. I started complaining about this when I was deciding whether or not to purchase DA. One of the factors that was influencing my decision was whether or not they fixed civilizations responding to Culture wars. They just let themselves die rather than declaring war. the - entry in the relations tab that you are refering to is ridiculous. When you destroy a pesky scout ship, the civ g

The AI is not really good at research/development. It ignores 700% and 300% research and production tiles. I would not call this really good, I would call this really poor. Add to this that the AI does not know that a influence starbase will filp his planets, and is unable to understand when a reseach victory is about to occur and you have AI holes that should have been fixed long before the developers released an expansion. Why are there influence starbases in the game if th
Why doesnt the AI react at all to having their planets decimated by culture? (GC2 DL, difficulty Challenging) I tried a game where I wanted to win by culture, so I flooded my friends and foes alike with influence starbases. At no point did they react at all, they simply just let their planets all be taken by floods of influence starbases. When their planets were about to rebel, or after the planet rebelled, the AI did nothing. No wars, not even any protests. They even complaine
Why is it that in every game, small class planets cannot grow their population past a certain limit? For instance, Mars, with two farms and population limit of 10.0b, will never, ever grow beyond 2.51b? Is there are normal reason for this? I can use colony ships to keep building up the population to its maximum, so it seems that only the population GROWTH is permanently 0. Other planets do this a seemingly different numbers, but they are usually planets of class 5 or
I just applied the most recent patch to the game on my computer, and now I can't play it anymore because it requires internet access to register it, and I dont have internet access on that computer. I can't even play the original version anymore. Thanks guys. I don't recall the box saying an internet connection was required to play. What can I do now? Why didn't you just put copy protection on the game disc if you are going to be nazis about it anyway? Now I am out of a game, and I
