Maybe the thread for the bonus round is not the best place to get commitments from players... a new thread might be better?

Cool thread! The AI places a lower value on planets which have low populations. You know what planets have really low populations? Ones that have just been conquered! So, when the Galactic News (or whatever it's called) informs you that the Lentzlandians or another minor civilization has just been taken over by the Yor, contact the Yor and offer to buy Lentzlandia from them; since it's a civilization capital, it will be a powerful planet and relatively safe from enemy influence, though

Very useful post, thanks. However, it might work better having a separate thread for each race.
Whoa. That is impressive. Mind-boggling, too. How did you accomplish this, KP?
united states privacy laws dont mean too much in canada. you see eh?
They do when our government is essentially beholden to the US government. Harper and his cronies need to go. Now.
I'm in too. I wonder if we might convince Stardock to post something about the league on the main page? Seems like something that promotes the game and the community...

I've never had a problem with Sethpenguin, and I don't know why you continue to assert this. He seems like a decent fellow to me. I think there are a lot more of us than people think. Especially with GalCiv2, though I don't fully understand why that is. Any theories?
Not sure what level you are playing at, but the AI does get sensor bonuses on the highest levels.
I play at Crippling, usually (or, have been, since I started testing this).

One way I think the AI's might be "cheating" is in detecting ships that they should not be able to. I often build long range "sniper" craft, a cargo hull with a single low-space weapon, one survey module, and the rest engines. I use these both as scouts and to pick off transports and spore ships before they can harm my planets. I sometimes find the AI ships hunting these down, even though there doesn't seem to be any way they could see them. And, even when they do chase the snipers, I [

Hello IDMopman. I've added you to the empire... thanks for joining us!
Welcome, Captain Nemo. I run an empire for older players, and, judging by the age listed in your profile, you meet our one and only qualification. Therfeore, I have sent you an invitation to join the Gerontocracy. Feel free to accept or decline. In any case, we would love to have you. Here's our main thread: [link]https://forums.galciv2.com/153753[/link]
What is that "we know what you're doing" negative i get? it only seems to happen when i start spying.
I think that's based on you having transports parked near their planets. As for who owns spies, it seems that it is now possible for no one to own them: [link]https://forums.galciv2.com/312465[/link]
And... I'm from Quebec, English is a distant second language to me (which i do claim NOT to control much if anything, barely enough vocabulary for online chi-chatting purposes). Given a looooooong period of thinking and reasoning (with a Roget's dictionary right beside to consult) though, i may sometimes hit enter too fast! Plus, typos. And, French is waaaaaaayyyyy more complex than general web-driven communications in 100,000 or less English words. But don't ever show me
