Heh, my computer can't even run it. From a pure gameplay standpoint is looks awesome though!

Whatwhatwhat?!?! *Fumbles for credit card*
Gosh darn it! Would you guys stop rubbing in the fact that we don't have DA yet!
It's purty... Seriously though, its nice and I'm glad to hear the texture have been optimized a bit.
Hehehe, my computer can barely run the regular graphics.
Enough with the previews! Just get the game ready for release! *Annihilates the Iconians to sate blood-lust*
Woohoo! Now I'm going to have to buy it (shame on me for not pre-ordering).
^^ It definitely wasn't rank, it chose a class 5 world deep in my territory once.
I probably had something meaningful to say, but my train of thought was hijacked, looted, set through a brick wall and blown up. I will simply say that I am pro-Microsoft, anti-Apple (BAD experiences with those infernal machines). My incomplete thought on Vista: I'm scared. Hold me.
Yeah, I used to go for alliance victories, but as a neutral player it was just to easy. I only take an alliance victory if I have personally eliminated 50% of the other civilizations.
I've noticed that the Drengin nearly always have an advantage early on in weapons (usually mass drivers) and defenses. It seems to me that they focus most of their early efforts into researching weapon techs so they can take over their neighbors.
I have never seen an invading transport survive, even when I come out with more troops than I started with (I usually blitz the troop techs when I see a war coming). I really think that conquering your enemies homeworld should have more effect on their leadership. Today I started a war against the Altarians and took Wisp, Altaria and kept steam-rolling my way into their territory following the line of homeworlds. It got pretty funny as it felt like I was playing dominoes, they would al
I usually try to go for a major technological advantage early on, leaving my military behind. Once I have enough planets I begin building "Targs" as I call them; freighters crammed with nothing but weapons to bolter my military rating. In the meantime I use my diplomatic advantage to keep everyone happy and trade technologies to keep my 100% economy going.
Congratulations!
Even with my 1.99ghz CPU I am still interested. As it stands I can see AI opponents in GalCiv2 "thinking" even if they still have blind spots and get hung up on things (like having five battleships chasing my invincible freighter half-way across the galaxy and back). The possibilities in terms of AI is what appeals to me in Turn-based strategy games. Extra system resources can be devoted to AI, resulting in more "thought" and deeper strategies. When I play Civilization IV I don't get the sam
I'll have to look into this. I doubt I would have much use for it, but it seems to be a logical step in networking. But when I think about it, a few hours ago I was mumbling darkly while I was trying to find a blank CD to cram some files onto, just to get it to a computer 10 feet away. Regardless, I will spread the word about this.
Real time strategy with units I don't have to babysit? I'm in!
Woo! This is a welcome turn of events! I personally am not concerned about the decision to streamline the tech-tree (the original didn't seem arbitrary enough.) Oh, and I take back what I said in the poll, I'm pre-ordering now!
Yup the AI still needs a bit of tweeking. Here's for more diplomatic options in DA.
Short answer: No I have brought this up before with no tangible result.
Stardock does it again! I have seen many mainstream devlopers release a product, release one or two patches with maybe fix a few dozen bugs and exploits, then move on. I have even had patches that corrupted my game files! GC II was one of the more stable and balanced games I have played, and it just keeps getting better! I think Stardock can start boasting about it's excellent technical followups on it's games next time it advertises a product.
Either you are horrible at this game or this a serious bug. I recomend telling Stardock about this.
To be honest I am very disappointed with SD I have written to SD on several occasions about the issue with the Mouse not working in the corners and received a mail back telling that the Mouse pushing into the corn
Skyjack you could at least be polite about it. I never read whatever thread that is!
*clears throat* w00t!!! Stardock comes through once again! It's amazing to think that some companies call updates "patches" that consist of only a few bug fixes! For example I recently decided to download the patch for Star Wars: Battlefront II. This "patch" completly messed up my game files and I can't play the game anymore. I could reinstall it, but why bother when there are other games out there with better support? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/W
