More Silly AI pictures

So, I'm not at war with the Iconians...but they decided to send their massive invasion fleet through my space to some obnoxious minor race's world...unprotected...there are 14 transports in this picture (one fleet has 4)...all...right there...next to my planet which has a couple ships which could destroy every single one of them...I'm still decided if I want to destroy them all or let them go.

Nice to hear the AI is having the same problem I sometimes have... Guess he really wants that planet with 14 transports...

I've had this situation and I'm sure many others have had it as well. The gripe I have is that if you did the same to an AI they would declare war on you pretty quickly. In this situation I do try to make the offending AI my next target, but often the game doesn't cooperate.

It would be nice if there was some diplomatic thing you could do to encourage the AI to move the transports short of going to war. I haven't tried this myself, but one useful thing would be to buy these specific transports from the AI. It would be only fitting to later use these same transports to conquer the AI's own planets.

There is an even worse version of this. I have twice had the AI declare war on a race and set up his rally point in my space. The last time it was right in the middle of my empire (I had ~40 planets at the time, the rally point was not even close to his planets). This, without question, would trigger a war were I an AI. The AI should consider things like this when moving fleets and setting up rally points…And I want to give the AI the same back off warning it would give me.

It would be really nice to have a diplomacy screen option where you can give the other factions the "Remove your ships or we will do it for you!" message that they send you.

It would definitely beat ineffectually pointing at the screen and shouting "-- We know what you're doing!" Especially if your wife hears you...

Anyone remember in Civ, how you could demand that a nation remove their military units from your territory, and if they refused to do so you could declare war on them? And nine times out of ten, they would apologize and back their troops off.

You don't "own" space in Galactic Civilizations II. Its like international waters in the real world. Anyone can go there. All you own is planets and the orbits around planets.

Here's a silly pic from 1.31. Is it really so hard to build a starport ?

(note the humans had more than a few of these planets.)
