I've recently been looking into theoretical drive systems for the Stargate TC Mod (I wanted to add some sublight systems before Warp and Hyperdrive), and I think that the bussard ramjet is unfeasibly large. It just doesn't seem practical, and far from economical. Perhaps something like a Magnetoplasmadynamic Thruster would do the trick? HOLY CRAP!! I use the 'Elements in Quenya and Sindarin Names' all the time! The leader of my custom civ (The Endoran Coalition of Worlds) is named Sereg-Thol (Blood Helm). The names of the four species that make up the Coalition are Eren(lonely, or alone), Luin (blue), Carochan (derived from fang, or fanged), and Kanoan (derived from Kano = Commander). Thats awesome. Good so far.

All I knew was that Sereg-Thol's species was the blue version of the Akillians (its the Coalition's race portrait). The best part is that you don't even need espionage levels to know, because your told what planet its built on when it is built! (GNN news reports ) So I'd imagine that such a feature wouldn't be too difficult to implement. And it would be gladly recieved, I'd wager.

I'm pretty sure you can use multiple mods at once, however you should be carefull, some mods may conflict. I hear lots of good things about Kryo's Hull System Mod, and Forms6's race portrait packs are quite impressive. The All Racial Bonuses and All Racial Penalties mods let you make the civs even more distinct. Thats all I got for now

Sorry its taking so long, but after General Homsar pointed out that I forgot to describe the races I created a whole new part to fix it. Its turning out to be longer than I thought. Anyway, although the next part wasn't planned, all the events in it actually happened in the game. I should have it up in a few hours.
You should try takeing your time when you post, I have a feeling no one else is makeing a wing commander mod, your running in a race of one! No need to rush. I can barely read your post. It is entirely possible, but the races would all be the same. You could make a mod to turn a bunch of the minor races into the populations of the more important planets from your favorite franchise (i.e. Turning the Paulos into the Huts, or the Scottlinga into the Tatooine.. eans ) I don't know of any maps/galaxies available for download like the ones you mentioned, but their are Total Conversion

Interesting, but your form needs alittle work. When a different person begins talking you put it on a new line, this increases readability. Also, you forgot some qoutation marks.
