Prove it. I don't believe that the writers/producers/directors chose to end Atlantis. I think Sci-Fi ended it because the ratings have dropped in the last couple years and haven't gone back up. Atlantis started out with a 2.0 in the Nielson ratings, now its lucky to get 1.2 Eureka, that steaming pile of bantha fodder, regularly gets a 2.0 and higher.

Its up again, hopefully it stays that way ;) [EDIT] Scratch that, the site is up but the forums are still down. My guess is a server problem, or a database problem.

I am unable to access the I-Mod site ( www.i-mod-productions.com ), or find any evidence as to why this is.

This is a test release KingWill. It would be very helpful if any of you would download and test the mod, then post any problems or suggestions at our Mod-Yard. Sorry for those of you still using Dread Lords, but Dark Avatar is required to run the mod. Not having it will cause GalCiv to CTD. We appreciate all the support you have given us and hope it will only grow :)

I just wanted to point out that cyto has posted pictures of several new designs and updated screens of revamped designs. The link to the thread is in the OP.

All this is true, but the constant maintenance of the atmosphere would be difficult and costly. I know that the rate of loss would be slow, very, very slow. But an atmosphere is an infinitely complex and chaotic system, it would be difficult to predict how the efforts to maintain the atmospere would affect it. What I'm trying to say is that theory and practice don't always agree with eachother.

Basically I need to know if I can Remove (Add/Remove Programs) the .Net Frameworks 1.0, 1.0(Patch), 1.1 and Patch, 2.0, and just keep 3.0 As is, the older versions are takeing up half a gig of memory.

I know its waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy off-topic (well, its really off-topic at the least), but I noticed after reading a bunch of Wookiepedia articles that all problems with the Sith have stemmed from the Jedi Order. The Sith (as they are commonly known) were created by Jedi who were banished from the Republic. The Sith have been annhiliated time and again, but are reborn when some dumb-ass Jedi snoops around in a Sith tomb/ruin/archive and is either possessed or corrupted. What the hell?!<br/

But they would still need to do something worth the server support it would require to keep an entire human being online. What I mean is, they would still need to have a 'job' of some sort in order to earn the things they need. Technical Support for instance, what if they're 'brain' (hard drive) gets corrupted? UH OH! lol

You basically reiterated some of my points (I think you misunderstood the heated core part though...) and added the Von Neumann factories. Those whould be quite perfect for the releasing of greenhouse gases, after the introduction of the new core and the added mass.

Why doesn't anyone ever read the entirety of a post? I'm going to quote myself now:
I forgot to mention that one of the problems with counting on adaptation is that humans have essentially stopped evolving. People don't generally factor in genetics when they choose who they have children with (if they really make the choice at all). I understand fully the massive timescale evolution requires, but our society spends vast resources on saving the lives, and correcting the de

Like Piznit said, I meant genetic evolution, and nanotechnology isn't even a viable technology yet. This whole post was to point out that TERRAFORMING, makeing a planet EARTH-LIKE, will not be feasible, which is not to say impossible, for a long time. This post also says that even when it becomes feasible, it will take an extremely long time, on the order of centuries. Alot of, nearly all in-fact, of the objections i've heard are not even terraforming, they're practically cheating.<br

I misspoke(typed) when I said Orbit, I should have said rotation. The moon is essential in stabilizing the Earth's rotation. Without it the poles would be all over the place (not because of a shifting magnetic field, but because the planet is tipping over like a college chick at Mardi Gras), and the levels of exposure to the sun that are quite predictable now would vary wildly. What I'm trying to say is that if an existing planet does not have each of these attributes, the missing one

Is that the only reason we want plate tectonics Kryo? Even so, that atomic engine at the planet's core will still be necessary. A reversal of the magnetic field's polarity is not the same as not having one. I still want to see some kind of reference to the loss of a field every 1/4 million years. How else would you create a stable orbit? Besides a natural satellite? And artificially creating a magnetic field would require more energy than we can supply anytime soon. <br
Look at the Earth's magnetic field. There have been periods in the past where Earth had no magnetic field. Happens on average every 250000 years.
Cite a reputable source, then we'll talk about this.
Genetic engineering can solve this problem. If we spread across multiple planets, the individual populations will diversify over time and eventually form distinct species. We can as well jumpstart the process by only sending specially crafted people to tha

I am an avid watcher of the Science Channel, and love doing casual research into all kinds of science (mostly computer and space-centric topics) and have come to the conclusion that Mars will not be terraformed for centuries, more likely millenia. Of course, I'm hardly qualified to make such a decision, so I've come here for all of your opinions. Not that you'll change my mind, just that it'd be an interesting discussion ;) There are no less than four (maybe five) attributes that any

I totally agree with you Ravenblack. I'm 20 years old and I still like to pull out the old pokemon games from time to time. I also like a Yugioh game called Duelists of the Roses. It added an extra element of strategy by forcing the player to move his/her cards around a board. They had to account for the different terrain types and how they affect different types of monsters. For instance, plant monsters got a 500 point attack boost and a two square movement boost on forest

Your concept and the name Terran Knights reminds me of some elements from Andromeda. But then again, anything can remind someone of something else. For example, my AAR was written in a style heavily reminiscent of Tom Clancy (probably because I've read like ten of his books). Basically I'm trying to say that I'm not attempting to make any claims against your creative honesty. Work on your organization (qoutation marks would be a welcome improvement) and keep up the good work :)
