The argument that a transport of 85 moves to 3 is too harsh really tells me that I need to go back in and make engines cost a lot more space and money lol ... bet you wish you didnt say that now
Selous
I like the super ability the way it is I think it is a great defensive idea i second that i think it is a great ability! one you would want to know about before you invade or it would come as a big shock
i think the superabilities is a good idea, but they havnt got it quite right yet i agree with everything in zy's post above
that is the same for every planet ... gets a little annoyin
i would say the bug is in the fact that the ai put spies on the krynn .... my first game was with the krynn and the spies had no effect (or it was just my first game and i missed it)
smartexception reported the next crash for me, so i sent that off ....
there is a super ability that has first strike? mebey it was that?(i cant remember who has them) defences seem to be working for me
onto my first game, having a ball, but am starting to have alot of crashes ... would say im midgame somewhere ... anyways here is my debugg .... edit ... no crashes untill a couple of years ago .... its starting to get real bad now Debug Message: Version beta 1 build 1 last updated on: Wed Nov 15 18:42:55 2006 Debug Message: Checking DX Version. Debug Message: *********DXDiag info follows.********* System Info Time: 11/19/2006, 16:46:45 DirectX Version: DirectX 9.
lucky rangers are also invisible ... and also have icons when zoomed out
doubleclick on the badguy spy and it will bring up the spy screen where you can nullify them ..... that is a workaround at least
Krynn have Super Spy - start with a spy and are immune to spies themselves. Probably not the greatest, but nice being able to use all your spies offensively. if you have seen the spies in full swing yet the ability to be not affected by spies would be bloody handy
i would like to see a "shuffle personality" option also ... little bit of randomness goes a long way
mebey the effects and damages caused by the invasion options could be scaled to the amount of men on you trooper transport, to cause full damage at full capacity and miniscule damage with 1 man scorched earth warfare is a valid and realistic tactic IMO
ive seen the ai use this strat ... i just think the ai doesnt generally use it because it kinda sux (although does have its uses)
yea, good sux pretty much .... just depends on whether you want to be good or bad
i have when i started, hasnt happened for some time now
i wouldnt play multiplayer because i get somewhat impatient waiting 5 min while old mate that im playing is micromanaging his empire
yea, strat games suck the big oneoneone on consoles
keep playing for a while and you will have a civil war .... its kinda cool
my gongs dont show up either
mebey some kind of "free market" bazzar ... where whenever you (or the AI) want you place your ships put a price on them, then anyone can buy them, kind of like buying and selling in mmo games
nice research dark snathi (accurate trade research is so fkn time consuming) my only question is how nessesary is it to have the entire trade route econ starbaced? theoryetically having all the starbaces clustered will give your the same income, just all profit pretty much in one hit rather a nice constant income (i like the security of clusters, but then that always depend on where and when i guess) one small detail, "trade" bonuses (from government, race and teck)... these are
Hey skyjack, how about you share some of your expertise with the rest of us so that we can also create uber efficent trade networks i guess i started this thread to find out WHY the figgures are what they are rather than just because
i cant really see any reason why you would want to scuttle entire designs across teh fleet .... bet you wont make that mistake again eh?
