Random Events

Hi,
After a little while of playing I began to notice a trend in the random events. They always seemed to be significantly in favor of being evil and NEVER being good. Why is this? Does being good have some noticable advantage over evil so that we need some disuasion from picking them? Is it possible to mod the events myself so that there are advantages and disadvantages for each choice? Is it possible to make it so that each choice has both boni and mali? Sorry if this is the wrong form for this or if this has been asked in the past.

Of course it' easier to be evil than good, it's like that in the real world, by wouldn't it be in the game? But evil has it's disadvantages also. For example, in the game I'm playing the United Planets voted in favor of the Evil races only having 2 trade routes. I'm glad I'm neutral leaning good, since my 8 trade routes ( with alien routs also ) are giving me 250bc per turn. So yeah, if I was evil I'd be kinda screwed money wise.

Also, check the manual for what good, neutral and evil alignments can bring to you in the future ( after Xeno Ethics ).

I"m not sure if it's considered a random event I've had, or it happens to everyone.... my last game, I play evil(to the point of demonic) for the first time, then out of nowhere suddenly half of my empire(16/36 planets) brokeoff and formed a new race and truned against me...
