i play on gigantic maps mostly and find taxes are far to hard to get going properly, but trade (i find, mebey it complements my play style??) is much easier @ random50 what do you mean about econ starbaces? what else is their? as to the increase from passing planets by, i noticed that sometimes the income would increase for some reason and a couple of times i noticed this the freighter was near some other planet, but, it could be something else that i am not seeing

well that is a pretty open ended question, depends on lotsa thing like war and who is around me, how many opponents, how big the map is ect, but i find it very easy to get over 1000 and generally run it 1500 to 3000 by mid game in my present game im running trade at 1600,tax 350 and a surplus of 600, but ive been in the wars and the econ starbaces have been getting destroyed, but teh economy is healthy enough and ill have neurality centre soon enough

jesus dude, mebey you should crank up the dificulty a little, challenging isnt all that challenging, i beleive you are still getting assisted at the lev and tough is a level playing ground ... also turn on intencive ai somethingorata (line please) are you even playing with 1.2 btw? and i agree with you on your bording actions, it would be cool to be able to capture starbaces, but whatever

i dont like the idea of anyone losing whole fleets so some kind of random events now that nebulas (or insert better name in here) idea has got some merit, where sensor range is halved or quartered in some parts of space i like the idea of more space stuff though ... more ideas anyone

im going for relitive diplomatic ability .... if you look at the rise and falls of all the races, it sorta kinda works out (throw in some random events and diplo tecks and im sure it would work out)

just a thought on the weapons sensor scaling ... that lazer you take from the tiny hull and slap on to the large hull, well tehy may have the same hardware (the actual bit that shoots) but the command and controll aspect is going to be so different. in a tiny hull (i think as them as a 1 man spacecraft, or at least few crew) the pilot will do the flying, navigating, shooting, ect ... but in a larger hull the pilots are in the command room with a crew manning the weapons a

just because a game is RTS doesnt mean that it is a hack in the tactical department .... perfect example is the total war series. that is a slow rts ... if it comes down you the speed of your mouseclicks and scrolling around the map then you are in the hurt locker anyways (for that game at least) for tactical battles to be implemented it has to be done right .... but at heart galciv2 is a strat game, not a tac game ps i like the idea of a tac add on ... hell mebey even contract

would like to comment on the "upgrading multiple ships bug" ..... when you upgrade using the upgrade all ships of this class box you are only charged for 1 ship but all the ships in the same class are upgraded ... btw i always use the cash option rather than the contractor option (if that makes any difference to you guys) .... my last upgrade cost 6700bc per ship and i upgraded 4 ships, but only cost me the 6700bc rather than 26800bc i would like to add nice work on 1.2 .... been play
