approval went to %1 and could not be fixed...why?

after a hiatus I decided to play my GC2 game again. after downloading any updates I proceeded to start a new game. galaxy was huge, all variables were random. Not long into the game the drengin's started a war with me. eventually i had lost a planet but was in no way out of the game, in fact I had just researched planetary invasion and was about to take the planet back. for some reason my approval went to red %1 and I could not adjust it. I was in the green before making money even with my spending at %100. I cannot for the life of me figure out what happened.

I do have a store purchased and registered copy. I bring that up because the only answer I could come up with was that it was some kind of copy protection.

What were your taxes? Race attributes? Were you getting influence pushed?

i've had this happen to me before, but after a random event that lowered moral by 3%, it's just a glitch. i don't know how to fix it,but if you reload an autosave i doubt you will have it a second time, and it probably won't be that far back so that should fix it. why it happens, i have no idea.

If its your whole emprie that dropped to 1% its possible the you accidently increased your tax rates higer than 80%

Setting your taxes to 80% or higher will drop your approval to 1%. If that's not the case or if lowering you taxes does nothing then I have no idea.

its not a copy protection, thats for sure.

Regardless, make sure that its your PRODUCTION at 100% and not your TAXES!
otherwise, try reloading, if it still doesn't work, contact tech support and send them a copy of your savegame.
