@ Ralf Goergens : It's a little bit confusing, there are two downloads one for "bonus content" and one for "activation". The "bonuscontent" is already included in the 1.1-patch, all you need is the activation. But a copy will not work, afaik the sig.bin contains information on your computer, so if you copy this file you will need to reactivite the game.
Let's take a fleet of tiny fighters each dealing 2 damage. you attack, so you make 10+9+8+7+6+5+4+3+2+1 = 55 damage if all your ships would be destroyed. The addition comes because every turn the dreads are killing one of your ships. I took 1 damge instead of 2, because sometimes you deal 2 and sometimes 0 in the middle you should make more then 1, so calculating with 1 damage will be certain. As you see you make about 55 damage until all your ships are gone, all dreadlords I saw
You mean the option in your setup where you can select if an update should keep all components or not? It's there since about beta 2, so the final 1.1 contains this option.
don't try to beat them with bigger ships, build small ships, because of the mechanism the combatsystem works the dread loards can only destroy one ship per shot, so all other of your ships can fire back. also the transporters are defenceless, they can be destroyed by fast one-laser-scouts.
It's known since some betaversions, so you are not the only one.
Some persons had the problem in the beta 4, after a reboot it was resolved for nearly everyone.

The changed files are sent to Paradox, after they checked them and send them to stardock, I guess they will be in sdc the next days. The german files in the 1.1-patch are the latest beta-settings, there aren't many differences, but some. Please note stardock is "only" the developer all localizationreleated things like the translation is work paradox is responsible for.

(edit the prefs.ini in your my documents\my game\galciv2-folder and set fullscreen=1 to fullscreen=0) maybe the game has problems, but I guess this doesn't help because the resize already happens when you enter the mainscreen.</f
The AI has been improved very much with the current betaversion, I cannot say if they would do the same thing, but think about the point you have an advantage when attacking. If the Drengin would put the ship in orbit you could attack it and YOU would fire with all ships before he could fire back. So by attacking you he can do damage, he'll loose the ship in both ways.

Sounds like you are using a mousdriver which has enabled special functions for ther buttons. You should disable these assignments.
@ Raziel1 trust me, there are differences between the mixture which is called german 1.1 4b and the original english 1.1 4b. You cannot speak of "perfectly" when several lines of code (all the new things in the diplomatics) are missing and if the datafiles are different and so your structure-costs aren't the same like the english one. Yes there are some fixes to the translation, I really know of these..... but the files for 1.1 4b inc
No, you can update the german release with the english update provided by stardock central. The only thing you have to know is, that you will not get the "correct" version. It will show "1.1 4b" but the datafiles are still "1.1 b3" so some balancingsettings aren't done. The game is playable but not 100% correct, you can update to the "1.1 4b" by using inoffical files, these files are nothing else then the "1.1 b3" with the changes
More multiplayer means less singleplayer. You always are saying Stardock has limited ressources (like every company ) and because of this I completely agree, there are many other games having multiplayer. Since 1.1beta 4 the starports are indestructable. No, I cannot say why, only that this was one of many changes done to the xml-files.
