That is a sinkhole from the tropical storm in Central America. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100601/ap_on_re_us/tropical_weather

Yes, that tag will change your starting point. However you are not committed to a particular alignment until you research Xeno Ethics and choose which one you will be.
Research Xeno Ethics. When completed a screen will pop up asking which alignment you choose. Up until then you are only leaning towards a particular alignment, based upon which choices you make with the ethical questions.
The robot is determined by your alignment, not by the race you play.
I have not had a boom in around 5 days now.
Sometimes the new fonts are not available to Windows until after a restart. And your seeing only the icons/symbols is probably your zoom level setting in the options / interface screen. Try setting it to 25 or so and see if it helps. You'll still need to zoom in to see the 3D stuff.
You probably need to reboot the computer.
Or they could have bought one, I guess. I would like to see it more often.
So, no one becomes a doctor to help people? Doctors are just legalized drug pushers? That is sad. Really, really sad. Then again, maybe that is why I don't go to doctors to 'cure' a common cold or a flu bug.
"This is pretty much the same with all score. Your tech score is merely how much you've spent on research and when you spent it. How many techs you researched or traded for or captured means nothing." So Sole... why is that I can research every tech in a year or so and show a certain hump in my research graph, and the next best researching AI shows much greater overall research in the course of the entire game and yet still does not have every tech researched? It does not cost
Before the first war was declared by anyone, they had 2 planets. In fact, the first war was declared against them. Their home planet was taken by the Yor, but it seems that they do not have the range to attack the second planet. I saw a fleet close by, but they just sat there for several turns then went back to their own territory. Am I sure they colonized a second planet? Well, I did not see a colony ship. But in the first few weeks of the game I came across th
Perhaps I have been posting at the wrong times, but I haven't had it go boom in a couple days.
In my current game the Carinoids have two planets, and not very close to each other. I have had other games in which a minor has had more than 1 planet as well. So it seems that they can colonize, sometimes.
Go to Options - Interface. In the Display Options section check your Tactical-View Zoom Level. Mine is set to 25.
Wow. Such long and involved posts to simply say... There is no 'standard' setting.
Boulderdash.
All you have to do is research enough to get the NLC, go Neutral and build a bunch of them, research econ to pay for them, and then get ahead of everyone else. Those econ resources help a lot. The proper application of research will win the game every time. It will also make getting those max techs all the easier. But you have to do it early in the game for the best bang for your buck, because the techs get more expensive as the game progresses.
Hm, all right, now that I looked a little closer at the resulting ship I realized that it has no more colonization capability even so it still has a colonization module equipped.
Then you took off the real colony module and left the fake one on. Try taking the other one off and see what happens.
I am just about to watch the next installment of Justified.
It does seem to be working better now. Thanks for the effort, SD.
You can also trade/gift a trade good to an AI. They will receive the bonus from it, but they are not able to trade it to anyone else.
I didn't read every reply, but I have only two words... Military Resources. Get as many as you can and load them up with mining modules. Keep constructors near so you can reclaim them if they are destroyed. Near the end of the game, when everyone has all the high end weapons, they are your only hope of keeping ahead.
No Lost fans? Strange.
What did you think of the ending?
What were you doing just before you hit the turn button? Also, you can go back to the last saved game and try again.
