Yup that's precisely it. The quadrangle previous images stay on the minimap instead of being erased. This has been a problem only after 1.2

I think I tried it, but does not work. If I restart the game it is ok, but that's not the point... You can't be restarting the game every time a colony rebels from your enemy and joins you!!

Let me add that I don't have the debugg.err file since I quite and restarted to fix it.

This has happened to me on more than one occasion, I think right after a pop-up box, like colonies rebelling from other races and joining me. Before 1.2 it never happened, while now happens quite often, even in the example mod. Well contrary to all others, I like autofocus. Not having it on makes me miss the turns of some unknown ship I made a few months back and send it on an expedition in deep space

There is a check box in the options menu, might be gameplay or interface that let's you change it back to the way it was.

Try the random letters method... Just close your eyes and type a random combination of letters and then look at what is there. If it's complete nonsense then just insert a vowel or two between consonants to make a name. Example: Afkjdpajh -----> Change to Afikojadpajih or Afkojeeodpajh Ropow--> Sound ok, so no change needed. Wqpoeiu---> Waqpoeriu (here I inserted a vowel and a consonant extra) You get the idea! You can just imagine the possibilities!!! <img

Yes, by the time you get the angle you want the fight is over and you have to click replay, which kinda misses the point of the fight, if you know the results

Excellent idea. The only problem I see is that then the starbases could lose some of their individuality. (like, oh no, I spent a lot of time biulding that up, don't destroy it evil Drengin), but I could live with that

The AI is not dumb, it is that as the name suggests, Artificial. Don't expect it to play like an experienced player with all the tricks. It's fairly good, especially compared to other games but there isn't a small tiny human locked up in the code trying to play the game....

I voted no. I know that $9 is not much, BUT firstly I live in Europe, and yes not everybody has credit/debit cards. If I saw it in a store I would be tempted to buy it being so cheap and I understand with a big chunk of graphical content. But to pay online, for $9, and with the currency conversion giving my money to beaurocratic banks, I would think about it twice, three, four times and probably conclude that ... well it is not worth the bother.... BUT on the other side..
