Hit the AI with over whelming force and they will surrender to you, in my current game I had the Torians, Alterians & Arceans all surrendered to me after taking around 80% of their planets in 2 turns. It also helps to leave them some ships so they they think they have a chance. I noticed they do the spite surrender after you taking half their planets and destroyed their ships. Also N0118 is correct go through their planets target the high pq, galactic wonders, bonuses 300% or better

I agree large is just not worth it although I do love to run 6 huge class in a fleet set them on auto attack and just watch the mayhem take place.

I've played several games on gigantic with with everything set to rare I believe it would be possible to do on with these settings. I got an alliance victory with 3 planets Earth, Mars and a class 15.

Maybe you perceive people as rude when the real problem is that you're illiterate. This would qualify as rude

In 1.0 I could play a gigantic map with every set to abundant and the only time I had an issue was when I forgot to turn off my virus scanner. In 1.1 I could only play gigantic with every set to rare without it crashing every 10 minutes. Now with 1.11 I can play gigantic with it set to ocasional but will still expirence a CTD on ocasion with a ramdom event notice. I really would love to get back the to the abundant settings on gigantic.

I have not played a turn based game since I played my first FPS game (Wolfenstien 3D - shows how long I've been PC gaming). Now anyone who play and competes in FPS games knows there has been a rather disappointing trend by major game makers to design/market games to consoles over PC and basically dumb down the game for the console good example of this is Call of Duty 2 and Rainbow 6 - 4. So I'm going through the gamespot site looking (and getting somewhat desperate for so

You know they really should have a standard screenshot button, I really hate having to do that cut/paste thing which is why I dont take screeny much.

Did you uninstall the old drivers before installing the new ones, failure to due that will cause all sort of issues.

Its my understanding that you can't upgrade any of the core ships. Beside I have a lot of fun designing ships so I pretty much obsolete all the core designs from the getgo. I wish there was an option button to turn them off in the first place.

In 1.0 the AI always went with Mass Drivers/sometimes Beam and I would always go Missile and research armour/shield In 1.11 they always go heavy into Missile/Beam so go mass drivers and research Shield/PD In my current game the Dregin have quantum torpedo's/Shields I had Nano Ripper/Areon defense when they called me up and said "Time To Die" After taking 5 planets I'm now armed with quantum torpedo and now have force Fields for dealing with the Yor and Korx who

Congrats on your win, to share I just lost my first game after being undefeated on Normal and Challenging I got rolled in my 2nd game on Tough. My Neibours the Dregin, Yor, Knorx and Drath all decided to drop by within two turns and 11 turns latter my last planet was taken. Good example of what happens when you ignore Diplomacy in favour of weapon techs. It was awesome, major fleet battles every turn, killed over 60 escorted transports ( kinda miss the days of 1.0 where y

I used to drop everything to take out who ever got this but the last game I had I ignored it but by then I was pretty much unstoppable. In my current game the Yor just got this thing and I have to ignore this time as the Torians have 5 planets on my boarder with nothing but farms and embassies on them and their relations with me or hostile so they have to be my first priority.

I got that one last night, with the Altairans. There was no olympics or any other thing like that in the UP resolutions so I think its just random. It *could* be weighted so that if you haven't been in any fights, it bubbles to the top. And you don't have to wipe them out pnich, just bloody thier nose a bit and propose a peace treaty. They will probably take it.

Like mentioned it can get very expensive purchase high end buildings if you captured several planets at once and just setting them to build the game will be over before they come online. Having the option to purchase lower end building would be mean you can get a planet up and producing cheaply instead of it being a drain on your maintenance budget.

I play with the Creative ability as well, and I get free techs from time to time so I think yes that's how it works (I think it even states it in the description?) Same hear My custom race has both luck and creativity and I find that at least with lower end techs I will often get a 2 for 1 and for higher its seem to be like finding that 25% da

I have also had a CTD like described above when I got the message Alan Bradly has been assassinated and a state of war has been declared. Unfortunately I didn't get the debug on it.

Export them? Don't you have to build a HUGE colony ship to even make a dent? And won't this just over populate the destination planet? Troopship with 4 advance troop modules will dramatically reduce the population on any planet with just two or three transports. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="m

Hes talking about a BOG game where you already have every tech researched at the start. I've played one BOG game but I never bothered with an alignment try checking in colony management tab. Or it could be that the AI's have beaten you to them.
