But let's talk about you... ... ... ... ... ... I could turn you into a goat.
Kanil
Byram: I believe Grifman was referring to dale2's post, which I too found very difficult to comprehend.
If you guys don't *want* that bonus, pick a lower soldiering bonus, then remove the lower soldiering bonus. The current +25 however does not cost you anything, so there really is no reason to remove it.
Well fed people are happy. But instead of keeping everyone well fed, you cut rations in half and feed twice the number of people with the same amount of food. They get pissed.
Woot. I'd love to hear the flushing noise. Or better yet, how about a voice speaking in monotone telling you how long that last turn took? "Six hours, forty-two minutes, twenty-one seconds." The noise would be different every time! Unless you just mauled the end turn button, and you'd get "One" "One" "One" "One" "One" "One" "One" "One"... etc....
Big squares are Sectors, small squares are Parsecs. Range is measured in Sectors (big squares).
Eurodisney never caused anyone to defect from their nation and join the United States. Sure it did. What history books have you been reading?
To clarify, you mean that you can attack adjacent units on the main screen once per movement point, right? For example, if you're attacking a planet without an orbital fleet manager and your speed three fleet is adjacent to the planet, that fleet can attack the ships orbiting the plant three times. Yes. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95
But speed doesn't make your ships any better at actually fighting, it just means they can move around more.
Now the aliens working in our factories will really be aliens!
This is by far the greatest poll ever... goes in the "you had to ask?" category. psilontech: Make sure she shares your deep distrust of Torians.
Sizemod. A laser V has a base size of 4, and a sizemod of 5%. So it takes up 5% of your ship, and then an additional 4 size.
If you find the gravity accelerators to be not worth it by the time you build them, then perhaps you should consider spending more time researching the morale enhancing tech path. Usually my ships are about speed 4-5 when I get them, and that's a very nice bonus. And it's basically free. (Well, just one pathetic tile...)
Moosetek: Diplomatic victories are also referred to by Political victories. Check out some Metaverse scores from time to time.
I find myself using mass drivers a lot... throwing rocks at the Torians is so much fun...
Why? Because people don't have the patience to read poor writing? Because not everyone speaks English as their first language.
yawn. Bring on the Pirate Thunderhead.
If it added a hull and component style for all 10 races, I'd gladly pay whatever Stardock is charging for it.
That is just the ruins. An influence bonus for the Embassy. It's common. -Wade Incorrect. I suggest you have a look at it again. It is some sort of silvery-triangle thing, on the right side of the "Tile Bonus" hint screen when loading a game. It is *not* the ruins. Anyone know what it is?
smjjames: There's several bonus tiles on that screen. Check on the right side, there's some silvery triangle thing.
You know, in the loading hint screen, it tells you about planetary tile bonuses. Check out that screen, you can see a triangle-shaped bonus unlike any other. On Earth. I think that's a precursor library.
Dark Revenant: What version are you running?
Influence is not saved during save games, but recalculated once you load the save. It will be slightly different. This was done to speed up save times, AFAIK.
EDIT: And how the hell do we cram them all into a single cargo ship? Miniaturization.
Creation of minor races? Pirates? Fundamentalists? Didn't see those... looks really cool, though.
