Er, yeah. I've noticed some ships require tech research even if they don't utilize that tech... (I've got a tiny chassis, devoid of all equipment, that needs Kanvium and Singularity Drivers II... *gulps*) Not sure of a way to fix this other than research the prerequisites... by that time though, you'll probably have just made a new vessel...

A vast majority of my fleet consists of Tiny hulled vessels... I find them quite useful...
