RPG - Diablo Erm.... I dont think you can *really* call Diablo an RPG
Enigmatical
So with the change to population growth, and the subsequent effect on Colony rushing.... Does that mean that the AI will no longer rush out to populate as many worlds as it can? I think the biggest problem I see is that population is NOT tied into production in any way, which means the only consideration is the economy. Personally I think it would be more interesting if player/AI had to weigh up between more planets o
I thought you had to pick straight away, thats the point. How did you avoid picking? I meant what I thought should happen, not what does

The only question I have relates to decoupling the sliders. What if 100% is my total workforce... and that this total workforce can only be distributed evenly between the different places I have available. Thus instead of it talking about "capacity", it is talking about where I divide my focus. In that respect all 3 sliders are indeed linked as I can only split my total focus (ie 100%) between the 3 of them somehow. Having said that though... surely the productio
Shouldn't the events only stop when you PICK a specific alignment? I might research it, but while the jury is still out on what I want to be, I should still be getting random events that lead me down a particular path.
My favourite game of all time is Neverwinter Nights .... This is mainly because I have always been a closet DM and to have the ability to make your own worlds and play them in a group just like the old days of Pen and Paper is beyond comparison. The hardest thing was always getting everyone in the same room at the same time... now you dont have to. But I have to admit though... I completely and utterly disagree with the styl
Does a Morale Resource have to be near a planet to affect it or are all resources empire wide?
I guess I have to ask.. why are ALL weapons aimed at a single ship? Surely each individually placed weapon on a ship would fire in sequence and when a ship is destroyed it would then move to the next? That would be how I expect a large ship to function... not firing every single thing it has at a single ship! Maybe that is where the issue lies here
No, its definately a BUG. My interface colour is blue so thats not the problem. The issue is interesting. even though I have deslected the component, it still believes that is the component I want and thus it will leave the bar red even though I am not adding any more to it at all. I can still save it (so I found out)... its just the indication of the bar that appears wrong. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL
Wow! People saying they do/dont want it because it will PERSONALLY benefit them Lets make the game more balanced and better for EVERYONE, instead of just thinking about what it means to our own strategies... we are all human, we can adapt. Ultimately it means a better "fun" factor all around.
Wouldn't a higher populatoin make better use of your factories? I thought that production was based on population, not purely on the factories themselves.... would seem a bit strange otherwise
All I do is right click which de-selects the component I current have (ie engine) and it STILL reports it in red, doesn't show the second underlying bar (which indicates the space it will take up) and STILL is in red and I am way under 55. Or can I still save it regardless... I think the problem might be when the bar is displaying in red to be honest
Just looking at the "rate of increase" between sizes of ships.... there are some interesting differences: Size Tiny -> Small = 1.5 Small -> Medium = 1.5 Medium -> Large = 1.78 Large -> Huge = 1.72 Thus I would probably increase the size of Huge to 114 at least to indicate a 1.78 increase, or find a better scheme that allows for a more linear progression in size (ie where the increase in size capac
I know seriously, how do you not know o'neill had to l's Because there was an episode where someone was writing his name down and he said "Thats with two el's"
Ok... I have a cargo hull and it has a capacity of 55. I put on a few engines, a module and it says 47/55 but its all red!!!! Essentially its telling me that even though it hasn't reached capacity yet that I have gone over budget and cannot make the craft. Why???? Whats worse, I noticed that if I put a module on AFTER the engines it *sometimes* goes red, but if I put the engines on last then the exact same design will be accep
So are you saying that the bonus to trading on an economic starbase only applies when a freighter is within that starbases area of influence? What about the other economical bonuses to production etc... I take it the same applies there as well. (Just clarifying as I dont think some people might realise this)
I'd like to be able to re-use the existing designs (which do not allow you to "upgrade"), at least in the early games. Nothing worse than wanting to make a better scout, only to find out you need to construct the entire thing from scratch simply because the existing scout is a core design and cannot be upgraded
Frogboy, Fantastic work... if only more development companies took your approach. So many of them are out there blowing their own trumpets and comparing themselves to "lesser" companies and going "See, look how good we are". Now there is a company they can compare themselves to and say "Geez... are we *that* far behind?" As a side note... how will the new beta, and indeed v1.1 effect currently saved games? 1. Can
I think his keyboard is busted... seems only half the keys work
What is the error message that you are getting? I was getting an invalid serial, but discovered that the '4' was missing off the front. Could yours be missing a digit off the end?
Did you upgrade your serial number on the laptop? You might have installed it on the laptop, but did you enter the serial to get the v1.0X.1 update
Gravitational Anomolies These "Black Holes" would stop things like advanced drives from working because it should not be possible to fold space so close to them (ie you cannot create a great enough gravity to outweigh the gravity created by the anomaly). This would slow down ships passing by this area. Wormholes A wormhole that can either be stable (has a specific destination), or unstable (can leave you anywhere)<br/
There should be some realistic benefits to being good. Being Trusted As a good race, you would be more likely to be trusted in diplomatic situations. Other races would know you are fair and just to deal with and less likely to suddenly attack them for no good reason Population Morale If a population knew you would treat them poorly then they would be unhappy. Nobody likes to know that their lives could be t
I did notice that the ship doesn't start moving until the END of the turn, which might appear as if it isn't moving that turn, but once the first turn has finished it should start moving next time. I also think there is an option somewhere to "follow" ships that are on auto pilot... you might not notice that they are moving if you have this off. Oh and I am assuming you do see the "Auto Pilot" under the ship?
