For me personally I have to say that I can understand the reasoning behind not having GalCiv2 multi-player. Having said that, I do however think that of all types of games, GalCiv does lend itself better to multi-player than other games would. If you were to look at the differences between a SP and MP game, would there really be a huge difference? I am not talking about the sacrificing of features in order to put the effort into multi-player
Enigmatical
Haoh, when you have registered, look for the "Adeladian Conglomerate" empire... thought we should start a local empire of our own
Enigmatical, I've been able to work out the problem. You were correct in your suspicion of there being a missing portion of the Serial #, in fact it is just one character missing. So to get a valid serial response simply try every letter and number in front of the code one at a time and eventually you will find the correct
Where did you get the game from Enigmatical? Was purchased from my local store called Berlin Wall ( Link ) which has always been incredibly reliable. Only thing I noticed was that the serial number was on a sticker on the back of the user manual, and
Hmm. What publisher is that from? Where'd you get the game? Does this form help? The serial doesn't start with a GC2 and was from the Australian publisher not anywhere in europe. I can confirm the actual publisher when I get home but I am fairly sure its the australian version
The game has finally arrived in Australia, there was no jewel case but the serial was stuck on the back of the user manual. I entered it when installing the game and everything seemed to be ok, but whenever I use this serial on the website here to try and create a character/empire I am told that the serial is incorrect. I have checked it, rechecked it and tripple checked it just to make sure but still no luck <img src="smiles/
Just wanted to say that I agree completely with the philosophy that there are far more appropriate and effective ways of protecting ones intellectual property. Having said that, the only point I am confused on is this: Why? Because let's face it, we lose our CDs eventually. Or we damage them In nearly 30 years
How are saved games handled when playing via the Metaverse? Or is it just assumed that everyone will save/reload their games before things go wrong and thus we are all on an even playing field by doing that.
The game wont be released in Australia until the 13th of March and already it is the 3rd most anticipated release (closely following behind the WoW expansion and Elder Scrolls 4). I simply have to say... guys, the way in which you approach software development (and I am a commercial developer myself for 15+ years) is absolutely commendable. Your attitude and openness is an absolute breath of fresh air!!! For that alone you have automatically won me over in checking out any
