an error has occurred during activation

please help

from GalCiv2 Forums
I just downloaded GalCiv2 onto another laptop of mine, and it installed fine. However, when I try to run it, after the menu with the "Play Game" and "Manual" options, i press play game, and it says, "An Error has occurred duing activation". I re-registered the game in Stardock Central, but nothing happened. Please help me, i really really really want to play this game.

Try deleting the sig.bin file.

Search for the file, open the start menu then click search or something similar (I don't have windows english version) and write sig.bin and you'll probably find it.

i tried searching, but it finds nothing. also, in my debug.err file, it says,
Debug Message: Version v1.0X.1 last updated on: Mon Mar 6 13:57:14 2006
Debug Message: Could not find a TGN Serial No.
i don't know what that means, but help is appreciated.

Did you upgrade your serial number on the laptop?

You might have installed it on the laptop, but did you enter the serial to get the v1.0X.1 update
