What about monitors? Does the old one still show up in device manager?
Draknost
Ok, so do you have the *latest* 1.2 build? There was a bug with the early build that had huge memory leak issues. As much memory as it said it was unallocating there it makes me suspect you're running the first 1.2 build. Also, if windows XP is still remembering your old monitor, have you uninstalled it from your device manager? If not, you may want to do that and it should go back to saying you only have one monitor. If you need instructions on how to uninstall the old one
I dont know what to do i cant find my file to switch Presuming you don't have a good enough video card, you won't just be able to switch a file. However, the good news is a video card good enough to run this game won't cost a lot of cash.
Ahhh, I see baby 3.0 has you up working late again, eh?
To say you did it?
Unfunf was playing using algorithms. The AI were completely crippled and had absolutely no chance to survive, so 2 years wouldn't be that hard. Riiiight, that statement shows you really don't know what algorithms ARE, do you? They don't cripple the AI, it still plays as it would always play. It simply lets the player play at their best.
I am sorry but you are mistaken, 91.31 DOES NOT support geforce 2 series, heres the proof http://www.nvidia.com/object/91.31_winxp_32_supported.html Eh, then Nvidia's website needs to get a little more detailed in what it asks you for. I clicked on 'download drivers', then selected graphics drivers, then selected 'geforce' (note: there was no 'o
I own a legitimate retail copy, and I tried those months ago accessing Stardock support forums and everything else, even here but everything toke FOREVER to load in my browser and it kept getting like that code message and such.... Well, stardock's forums were pretty slammed when the game first came out. They got FAR more response than they had
The sequence is puff, puff, pass. Methinks someone forgot to pass.
clicky! That *should* be a link to the latest drivers for your card from nvidia's website.
driver update wont seem to work for me. it says there's no drivers for my current hardware. How are you trying to update your drivers? By clicking 'update' in the device manager, or going out to the manufacturer's website and getting the latest? With a GeForce 2, you'd want to go to nvidia's website and download their latest driver, then instal
What? Stuffed to the bottom of the heap? I'm being repressed for speaking the truth to power!
Hey, glad I could help. I see the need for Stardock Central in that I open it, and it pops up and tells me if there is a new non-beta build out. I guess I could click a few more times and just go through the web page, but I'm lazy.
Well, I think they changed it up to say "1.21" or something of that nature. Not 100% sure on that end. I find the best rule of thumb to determine if I'm running the latest build is to fire up stardock central prior to running the game each time, just in case. Just don't have 'show pre-release builds' checked or you'll end up patching into the betas.
I thought the geforce 4 MX series weren't supported? Or am I thinking of another game.
What is going on that they can't manage the memory usage this late in the games life ? A whole slew of new features/abilities that weren't coded into the original game AT ALL? I would tend to guess that would cause instability issues.
Also, you said you downloaded the game, does that version come with the latest patches? If not, patch it up!
Durnit, I wanted to be special and have a first.
At least I think he did for the last few paragraphs of his beginner's strat guide. You can take on a 'roll' instead of 'role'? And 'poor' your money into something instead of 'pour'? Bad Draginol, no outsourcing your job!
When this game was first released, I was fairly active in the forums and I think I remember reading a thread about finding 700% bonus to research tiles. I think the general consensus at the time was they didn't exit. I have never modded my files, and my latest game actually had one of these bad boys on a tile. Is this still an extreme rarity, or did one of the later game patches make these a little more common?
Did you upgrade to the latest official build of 1.2? They had some memory leaks with the first release of 1.2 that were fixed by a later official patch.
The newest beta runs fine. (played around 5 hours today with no problems) It's not my drivers. It was the BETA. As I said some of the previous versions ran fine on my PC, some didn't. That's why I am inclined to not believe a system problem. MY POINT again, was that Stardock is not properly testing (or polishing) their software. I just don't understand why so many o
hats why were testing this beta to make sure you guys don't release another 1.2. 1.2 Final was in no way, shape, or form stable. I always test the betas to find the bugs that may disturb my mod. I'm just telling you what I've sesn in the game and reporting bugs. But after the 1.2 final instability I can't NOT test the Beta.(Especially if the finals are just a
I don't have paint or a prnt screen/save screen/ anything As someone else pointed out, those are standard issue for any computer. Perhaps you simply don't realize where they are. Print Screen is located next to your Scroll Lock key typically, (shown as ScrLk) and itself is abbreviated to PrtScn and mine has SysRq underneath that. It is typi
I'm curious - when they talk about multiplayer taking 4 of 5 slots, are they talking about LAN only multiplayer or a battle.net style multiplayer? I have no interest in a battle.net scenario, but LAN only would be a nice addition.
