How is it different? It seems to me the way the system works right now is perfect IF every shot fired will ALWAYS hit. If the shot is strong enough to penetrate the armor, shield, point system then you suffer damage but I don't see how every shot fired will always impact upon a ship - this doesnt make sense to me. Thus the introduction of tracking technology and chance to hit seems to make this system overall a better representation of a combat situation.
Ok I've been thinking about this for a while. The one thing that bothers me the most about the combat aspect of the game is that there is no "random" chance to hit or conversly there's no technology that determines this. If you have the nano-ripper vs the black hole gun vs miniballs your chance to hit is all the same - 100%. This really doesn't seem to make sense to me. Yes, yes, I know that the dice roll are based on armor and hit points but it seems that a new and very importan
So here I am on my way to a victory and something odd happens that I haven't seen happen before, Im playing on the newest beta. Right now Im kicking the crap, or was, out of the Drengin Empire who had been pummeling me for a while. I made peace with them and took 7 of their worlds as my "pay off" but two turns later the entire screen is filled with vengance fighters and cruisers. Essentially on a gigantic map they were given well
I doubt any of you who criticized me have University degrees I have two undergraduate degrees, a B.A. and a B.S., a masters degree, and my JD. Do any of them satisfy you?
Based on your logic I stopped reading after the first paragraph because in your first paragraph you have 4 grammatical errors. Master the language yourself before you start complaining about others.
I've found that some empires spite you others, like the drengin, surrender to you when you're on the verge of totally crushing them.
This was one of the most disappointing aspects of the game. I was lead to believe that it actually mattered where you placed the weapons.
Just what it says. In my current build of the game, the most current as of today, I am not able to get the minor races to show up whether or not I have them enabled with the new "option" in the game creation menu.
Just a simple suggestion and that the main races have the ability to bring something to the attention of the council for a vote. Not only would this seem to make sense to me, but it would flow with other parts of the game such as when someone comes begging to you for help and your reply is "I'll take it to the council".... Thoughts?
Im amazed at the level of support this game has recieved, it's totally amazing. Im going to keep saying amazed or amazing because that's what it is. It totally blows away any and all competition or competing groups... like Chaos Concepts who are the antithesis of this group.
Hey, I just noticed that there is no way to make a suggestion to the council or to remove a current UP law. I noticed this when the UP decided to cap starbases at 1 module, which... annoys me a lot. Later when I got the concil voting on my side it would have been nice to have them repeal it, or the option to repeal any law. Does this make sense?
As to point 7... I agree... and even with the option checked "on" it doesn't show military vs. military ship fights.

Two things: 1- Whenever you get 1000 billion citizens ie, a trillion, the game no longer counts it correctly and displays your population as 0.10001032442T 2- Double clicking, tripple clicking, etc does not always bring up the individual screen for a ship/fleet.
Yeah, I recieved a similar message from the AI that said "Dont think I dont know what you're doing, if my intelligence level was set at max I would send my generals out to crush you."
