You need to develop a healthy economy. Then you can use this to fuel 100% spending. Having a couple of specialised worlds helps. Examples: Any high PQ planet (18+) is a great planet to make an economic world out of. Different people will have different ideas about how best to do this but I personally use this rough build order 2 factories, a starport, entertainment, farm, bank, bank, economic capital, farm, entertainment, bank X the rest. The most vulnerable also indicated the one with least defenses. Watch a few fights and I'm sure you will be able to predict 99.9% of the time which ship will be attacked first.
One of our artists are working on a female portrait to qet into the game. Technicially theres a bald female with horn-things coming out of her head, but...I guess that's not very human-like Technically? Sounds like you have WAY too much information on her anatomy! <img src="http://images.stardock.
Yeah I have a suggestion.... it wont work with the beta! I am sure he will be releasing something for when they make it a full patch.
I had 5 or 6 in my last game.... but you are right, they do appear less frequently at the start of a game since the 1.0x patch.
Not to mention, certain posters reply unhelpfully with admonitions to examine the fine print in the EULA. As if that has any bearing on this issue. Certain posters who also pointed you to a link that would possibly have helped and who did so only to attempt to provide help? Oh those posters! <img sr
Click on Relations tab, under their picture by where you do espionage is a button cunningly called Break Alliance.
Look, all the designers have to do is find the old ship design program and put it back into the game. It wouldn't be to hard to toggle in between the new and the old. Why do so many people here think that the developers have to meet each and every single criteria that they demand. There is a limit yo
Check out the Thalan leader again.... she's the hive Queen When you come right down to it, how do you know whether any of the aliens are male or female? Only the Terrans and Altarians can you be 100% sure of. The Drengin may be called Lord Kona, but how do we know that Drengia is a patriarchal society - perhaps the title Lord there is for women! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/s
Here we go again. Oh yes, here we go again. (If this game does goes to CD and on-line activation. Its history for me. Another waste of 50 bucks. But I am learning!)</
As you're here and still posting Antenociti, why don't you do as I asked and post your debug.err? That is, if you want your problem solved?
Maybe the OP was including the time it takes to come home from work (school?), take a shower, eat dinner, boot his PC, run the game, choose the save... then load it! Nah, even that's pushing the boundaries of belief! 40 minutes is a joke, either your pc deserves its long awaited retirement or your system is very very badly maintained. Page file size of 1kb? And VagaBlade you have freaked me out..... you are using the same avatar a
Trying to abuse the belligerent Altarians out of some of their ill-gotten money, I asked for cash and got this message: Some kind of schizophrenia? :SURPRISED: :D
It's not in the game yet, but it's in the manual. The most recent thing I heard about it was that they are looking to put more depth into the espionage element of the game soon. Probably not the next major patch but maybe the one after.
Write to [email protected] I am sure they'll help you very quickly! Basically, just so you realise, the boxed game had a patch waiting for it when you got it home - that patch added a lot of content, so you really want to get that. After that they put a fix in for some graphics cards overheating which might be a big help to you from your description. There's also more content in the other patches!
Your suggestions are good, and I'm just noting that a fight to the death might bring some unexpected consequences Absolutely. That's why I dont advocate removing this feature - too many games you have to kill every last worker/scout/grandmother knitting at home before you defeat the AI. Wha
This sounds really odd. Can you post the start of your debug.err file here? It would help people to locate the fault because I am sure it must be something to do with your specs or drivers.
Try patching the game up, it looks like you are running version 1.0 straight out of the box?
The AI in GalCiv2 plays exactly the same. When it turns clear that it has no chance to confront the player fleets anymore it will "commit suicide" by surrendering to ANOTHER race. It's not just doing it to the player, it does it to other AI as well. Probably the most annoying thing is when
The real answer to the question posted by the OP "WHY WAS THE "FEATURE" NOT FIXED????" BECAUSE IT"S NOT "BROKEN"!!!!!1111!1twentytwo
To quote Brad's comment on it: If you don't know what a Beta is - don't download it! Basically, it's a test bed. By throwing it out to the masses they will find the problems a lot easier than having 3 people chained to their desks for the next week.
First of all, it's a beta. Second, there's a Beta Glitch thread stickied at the top of the forum for you to make reports like this - if you want something done about it!
Never heard of it. Was it planet specific or empire wide?
For all the silent "majority" that has experienced such major issues.... there is a vastly larger number of silent "majority" that hasn't. I guarantee you that 94.67% of users were beyond content with the product. It's easy to claim but hard to prove isnt it? Just like the simple assertions above by some posters about how "everyon
1) Space is big.... very big! This seems like a great addition to me, giving it the primary x back. 2) I always thought that No Tech Trading was a pretty lame idea.... but people asked for it... and asked for it.... and didn't stop asking for it until it implemented. The net result is clearly going to be stunted galactic technology - people get what
