No! Even the people that said yes, also agree it is useless!

Just to put things right: 1 Million = 1,000,000 = 1M 1 Billion = 1,000,000,000 = 1B = 1000M 1 Trillion = 1,000,000,000,000 = 1T = 1000B = 1000000M That's under the American system; in the British system: 1 Million = 1Thousand X 1Thousand = 1,000,000 1 Billion = 1Million X 1Million = 1,000,000,000,000 1 Trillion = 1Billion X 1Bi
There's the new AI options where rather than just setting the difficulty to "hard" you can instead adjust resource bonus/penalty and AI playing intelligence independently. It would be cool if you could set them to increase during the course of the game. Dynamic Game Difficulty
It has never happened to me; I play as neutral. I understand this can happen if you play as evil.
Can you get +6 logistics for each planet in your empire with Hyperion Logistics or is there a cap? There are 10 major races; if you play the custom race can you have 11 majors in the game? Can the minors build the Hyperion Logistics? If you capture a race's Hyperion Logistics, can it build another one?
I thought players stopped using armed cargo hulls when the first strike advantage was mostly taken away. I see how a fast armed cargo hull ship would be effective in the early game. I my games set on very fast research, Warp drive has already been reached by most players by the time the first war breaks out (started by me).
I have never used military starbases in my games but I know that economic starbases do stack.
It's a documented fact that the AI makes more ship designs a year with the option selected (without it, it makes one per 52 turns, with it it updates as needed). When did the AI formerly do its ship designing? Jan 1 of each year? How often will it make new designs with it selected and on what dates? Is the frequency fixed or variable?
I don't have a problem with the Drath versus Drengin because the Drath are more of a yellow-ish color and the Drengin are pure red. I haven't looked at the mini-map for a while now but as I recall the Drath have a orange-ish/brown-ish color. The only color not currently used that would also show up well on a black background is pink. Sure to strike fe
The econ bases are also good for research and industrial production if they are next to one of your planets. Place your econ starbase so as to maximize the number of your planets within its area of effect. You can stack the starbases to compound the effect. Also, starbases (all types) extend your range allowing you to colonize distant worlds
It did exist in the pre-release Dec. 2005 Beta but was removed in v1.0.
- try to have more then 50 Trillion people in your Empire. You had a 4 (really <5) year game on a medium map with a score of 156750 and a 0 (really <1) year game on a medium map with a score of 221500. How are you growing your population so fast on a medium map game? In my first Metaverse game playing on a gigantic map, everything abundant, 9 opponent
If you bothered reading the threads that you bumped, then you would have learned it DOES work as intended, just there are problems with rounding. Rounding down causes many issues in the game (e.g., bonuses to small values disappear). I hope Stardock in GalCiv3 will avoid rounding until the final result and will round off to the nearest! Paul
Game example? What the hell is that? https://www.galciv2.com/gameplayex.aspx If you read through the dev journals you will she more examples. https://www.galciv2.com/Journals.aspx?AID=0&p=5&s=1&d=DESC Pau
Then the poor French I am have problem to correctly understood this sentence: mid 50s refers to the arrival time or the time when the US did use a nuclear weapon? The Intruders arrived around the end of WWII but did not do much until after the Korean War. In this alternate history the Americans kill one of the Intruders with a 50 Megaton Nuclear bomb,
Ignore the core ships; they are poor designs, lacking in speed. Design your own custom ships utilizing your latest technology.
Now that the players have done the hard part of finding the problems in the tech tree's XML, it is trivial to correct the XML. Why would you address the issue of the Moon rotating around the Earth the wrong way before fixing this XML file? Playing Metaverse games restricts players to what Stardock thinks is appropriate, so it is our hope they will make the necessary adjustments. I think (ignuss and many others appear to agree) the values for the Manufacturing Center and Industrial Sector in v1.
adding more difficulty levels so that players can fine-tune things. Why no "Dynamic Game Difficulty Level"? https://forums.galciv2.com/?forumid=247&aid=124215#966172">
I keep my planets at 100% morale to get the 100% bonus to population growth and production bonuses. Early in the game your population is low so even at high tax levels, your income will be low. Set spending at 100% and set your tax level as low as it takes to get 100% morale. You will be in the red for the first 12-18 months of the game while you: (1) grow your population, (2) build up morale from building entertainment centers, researching morale techs, and mine morale resour
Anyone else play WITHOUT a printout of the tech tree and would like to easily jump between the trade and tech tree windows?
CAUTION: When you update your video drivers, get them from the vendor's website not from "Windows Update". https://forums.galciv2.com/?forumid=162&aid=113210#934441
In my first Metaverse game, I completed a game on level Painful, on a gigantic map, everything abundant, 9 opponents, and very fast research. The Drengin surrended to me on Dec. 15, 2229, just under 5 years but it was counted as 4 years. At game end I had 200-250 planets under my control. In this game there was lots and lots of activity in each turn; in real time the game lasted 2 months because I have very limited time to play. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Wink.gif" b
Only if there are enough soldiers to completely fill a transport, will it survive. So you can only take a planet without losing any transports if you don't lose any soldiers but that never happens.
As long as they continue to create great products and back them up with great support, they will have my business. I want them make high profits so they will be around a long time.
Will Mascrinthus, https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=164&AID=100828#921208 , the last of the good Mithrilar, make an appearance in the Dark Avatar expansion pack?
